No worries, Jordan.
I am so sorry! I reread your post, and now I realise that you are female!! Sorry about that, hahah I need to read things more clearly before i jump to conclusions.
God bless you and your future vocation
Look up the five stages of grief. Parents and families go through the same thing when it comes to vocations within their household. My parents were very poor and wanted me to go to the religious life so I would be taken care of. That didn’t happen, of course. When I pray the rosary today, I will remember you and your family at the Crucifixion mystery. Our CAMM/CCMM Cloisterite Ministry has its own set of (six-decade) rosary intentions, and the Sorrowful Mysteries are dedicated to Service:
Agony in the Garden: discerners; particularly the resistant (and those being resistant to our emerging charism)
Scourging: Fraternal Correction – those giving it badly, and those being resistant
Crowning: Founders; Superiors; and Formation personnel
Carrying of the Cross: that all priests and religious will deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow the Lord (in other words, live their vows)
Crucifixion: those giving their loved ones to the priesthood and religious life
