My pregnant best friend is having complications

Her thyroid may cause her child to become mentally handicapped. I’ve encouraged her to consider putting the child up for adoption if he or she does have brain problems, because she has voiced concerns over not being able to take care of them properly, but she is also thinking of aborting. 😦 She said she may think about adoption, but likely not for long, and didn’t want to look at any resources I offered to find for her in terms of information.

Please pray hard that her baby will be completely healthy, or that she will put them up for adoption if they are not. Abortion is such a traumatic thing for a woman to experience, and I don’t want her to deal with its consequences.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Abiding in Love’s friend. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Abiding in Love’s friend.'s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
