Exactly. Kid fails, must be the parent’s fault.

Still, in this case, mom’s missing something. It ain’t about her.

Someone I know got divorced recently, and all her mother could say was that she (the mother) was the only person she knew who did not have a divorce in the family and now she can’t say that.
