I’ve heard from two different sources that Father R. sees a host of angels (I don’t think any saints, far as I know) but that is just pretty cool. Don’t you think? I think I want to ask him personally just to hear it directly. What do you think about this? Do you know of anything similar on a personal level or within your diocese? It is pretty exciting to me, to hear such things. But then, sometimes people tend to embelish or misquote a story as it get’s passed on, but I think it’s probably true, at lest mostly. He elevates the host for really long time. More than any other priest I’ve seen except for Padre Pio.

I had a Catholic friend from our prayer group who saw an Angel next to the priest during mass at her church. Always meaning to go to that church which isn’t beautiful and now surrounded by a big Muslim population and suffered from sex abuse allegations in the past. But there is always other churches I want to go first to.

I have read a lot of Catholic books about monastics, eastern and western, and a lot of books written by the Saints or about the Saints. There were several account of the Saints wrestling with demons, Padre Pio is of course one of them. I have only read of one or two accounts of anyone seeing an angel. [other than the Bible of course] So it is nice to hear stories about seeing GOOD angels!

I guess the good angels are able to accomplish their duties without the need of being seen. Here is the clincher though, angels can appear however the need calls. They could look like a normal person, so… we may have seen some without even knowing.! Food for thought.

Such things should be discussed privately with your Spiritual Father. I would heavily discourage you from asking this priest about it, as such a question out of the blue is dangerous for him and you.

The danger of Spiritual delusion is great.

In my opinion, the priest should not be discussing this with the public unless directed to do so by the Vatican.

It would be extremely rude to ask him about this matter because it’s incredibly private. It’s also a gift…one which is intimately between him and God. To question him would be like asking the man with many children what his sex life was like.

Hmmm… I’ll take that into consideration.

The accounts I heard both come from altar servers, so it’s not exactly public knowledge. I’ve heard similar sentiments before by others.

I know Father fairly well, but if I were to ask him, which I haven’t decided I would or would not, I’d do it at a discrete moment. I saw him by himself tonight after mass and thought to ask him, but I didn’t.

Hi Jamal,

I can certainly understand you wanting to know or ask, as I think that it’s always wonderful and exciting hearing about these types of situations.

Hearing about them makes me feel happy and joyous. We hear stories like this, where people see and experience Angels at Mass.

It’s always so edifying and leaves me full of hope and joy for those that have the experience, and for those that hear about it firsthand, too. ❤️

I don’t know if Padre Pio mentioned his mystical gifts that he received during his lifetime or not. Anyways, it’s pretty cool, I think.

But I can see how a certain discretion is necessary sometimes. I think, at least at the moment, that it’s up the person who was or is being gifted by something of this nature for them to choose whether to disclose it or not. But it’s true, asking might not be appropriate.

Sounds nice. 🙂

Who knows, if one priest can see them, maybe more can. As to the danger, if he’s seeing them during the act of consecrating the host, well, that seems safe enough. I guess it’s up to the local bishop as to whether or not he gets to talk about it.

Blake heeley wrote a book called “the Vail” that describes seeing in the spirit. And had seminars to teach this . I have been to 2 of them . the spiritual anointing is very powerful.

There ARE a host of angels at every Mass.
He probably should not be telling people. Can you imagine the nutjobs that will come around to your parish seeking proof of angels, to see for themselves, causing trouble?

While these things are special gifts, they are meant to remain private, IMHO.

I believe it. I had a strange experience once. Don’t know if it was an angel but it’s the only thing that makes sense to me.

I was very worried about a friend I was hanging out with. I left to get some snacks and as I went down the stairs I prayed for her. As I was coming back from the store I saw a normal looking girl (kind of pretty but non-descript) across the street from me as I waited for the light to change. She was looking right at me with a slight smile, not flirty but a bit off-putting. After I noticed her she turned around, walked to my friends building and simply touched the door handle of my friends building. The light changed and we crossed the street. Strangely I don’t remember passing her but I turned around and she was getting on a trolley. It felt like she was saying, “Don’t worry, we got this.”. It gave me some peace.

Good point. All the same, I’m glad to have heard the story.
