I was just thinking about how lucky i have been to have met the priests i have over my short life so far. in the way they acted and carried themselves, just as much as their teaching and servce affected me.
Fr. Fitzimons - self-giving love and generousity AKA Agape (he sold alot of his stuff and gave it to the church and he let a poor family use his rectory in exhange for ushering at masses)
Fr. Mitchell - love and loyalty to the church and incredible religious intellect
Fr. Olsen - Very masculine priest (all of the priests are manly but he looks the part of the outdoorsy man’s man)
Fr Gilette - how incredebly bad sin is. He made me feel BAD, REALLY BAD. I really felt forgiven though.
Fr. Win (not spelled that way) - youth and zeal in his vocation
Fr. Feeling - the dignity of the aged and immense love of the eucharist and our lady (he lost the key to our tabernacle one day and would not let the ciborium remain alone for a moment until he found it, he assigned guards and stuff)

my intention was not to brag but to get others to relate similar experiences.

Your post is living proof of what Cardinnal Ratzinger said during the Mass for the cardinals going ito conclave…when he spoke of what lasts…thank God for those you hae known who sowed their “seeds” of faith and to thank them be sure to “pass it on”…

Thank you for your great thread, Brain! Me, too–I’ve had some of the best priests ever and I am grateful to every single one of them. Each of them has shown me something important and honestly, I don’t know what I would do without them! God bless all our holy priests! Many blessings,

Geraldine

Yeah…in all my years I have only known one priest who really gave me any heartburn and he still heard a great confession.

All the rest, and I guess there must’ve been a good dozen or so all told were the image of Christ reflected in their personality and behavior. The two priests at my parish are great & Bishop John Ricard ROCKS!

May God please send us 10,000 more like all these we have spoken of.
Pax vobiscum,

I’ve met some priests that are now good friends of mine and family. Especially my Uncle Fr.Ruben Luera he was a great priest. He is thinking about going back to the priest hood.

Fr.Eugene he is also a great priest he is a good friend of my family. He is nice caring, loving. He was there when I made my first communion.

Fr. David cruz what a Priest so dedicated to the church. He just loves my handicapped brother he is also a great friend of my families. Just a wonderful person.

Fr. Ben what can I say a great person as well.

thtas all the priest i’ve known in my life.

I thank God that such men live, and i pray that their ranks be strenthened if not in number but in willingness to give themselves over completly to their bride, just as the married man gives himself completly to his wife.
