One night a few months ago I was doubting the Catholic faith and I was watching a couple Protestant videos.
I was very distraught as I have been recently on what the right religion is. It was about 1 am.
Just as I finished a video by a Protestant pastor, saying how putting your full faith in sacraments and Mary for your salvation will send you to hell, I noticed something.
The search bar in YouTube read “Died on the Cross and Rose again”.
This definitely could have just been random, like the YouTube algorithm typing something in. But I did not type that in.
I didn’t type that. I didn’t even look that up before watching the current video so that it would come up now.
The only thing I typed was “Do Catholics go to heaven?”.
I’ve come to the assumption that this was God telling me what to focus on and how I am to even attain salvation. I’ve had two other private revelation things like this in my life, and they all but one came in a time where my faith was weak.
I could be wrong though.

Read 1 Corinthians 1. Especially vs 23,

23 But we preach Christ crucified…

Instead of tearing down other Christians (warned against in Romans 14 by the Apostle Paul) we should just share the gospel.

Romans 14

10 Why do you pass judgment on your brother or sister? Or you, why do you despise your brother or sister? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For it is written,

“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall give praise to God.”

12 So then, each of us will be accountable to God.

13 Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another

Godspeed

I wasn’t tearing anyone down, I’m a Catholic myself and I wanted to know the other side’s argument.
I think I was told what to keep in mind and to not worry about all the little details that will take care of themselves

No you weren’t, but the Protestant pastor you were watching was. Most of these guys have a misguided (or intentional) interpretation of Scripture that they use against Catholics. False witness. One of the ten big no-no’s.

What is a good response to those who say “prayer is a form of worship” in reference to praying to saints for them to pray for us?

I would cite to them (especially if they are attacking the RCC understanding) that many protestant churches are known for their prayer groups, asking others to pray for them and for each other. Is this a form of worship? And if it isn’t, then why would that be any different than praying to another who just happens to be a saint? If we ask others to pray for us, why would it be wrong to ask the saints to pray for us? It isn’t worship, it is a request for intervention with God through others.

No, not you, the protestants. I cringe how they even bash each other’s “distinctions”.
