Bible Steve,

You are making this a Bible Steve& Yessian thread.

There are multiple participants here in this thread **that you can not misquote ****or personally attack here.**Starting with me. And the others you have skipped answering.

I hope you can let yourself get over your personal issues with Yessisan, to start defending your faith.

I was simply answering Yessisan complaint I hadn’t commented on the website link yet. I’m answering many questions from many people. I was simply answering her statement I wasn’t responding to the link…

My answer was that I had read these specific links for many years and didn’t see the need to answer her about it because I’d already spent alot of time with her explaining things of which she still thought JW’s were lying.

I will be glad to answer anyone’s questions who don’t continually insist bad intention on my part.

Steve

OK

Yessisan claims the Catholic Church is teaching her JW’s believe in the Trinity:

“Anywho, to respond to one of your questions to me… I got the idea that JWs believed in the Trinity because I have seen things that come from the CC that say so. You trust your Societys and I trust my Chruch.”

And she’s got photographic evidence the JW governing body members were giving blood:

“And this is why two of the governing body members donated blood at a UN blood drive? They were photographed so there’s proof of this. It’s all hyprocrisy.”
forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?p=2314253&highlight=governing+body+blood#post2314253

But again, there was nothing but a reference to JW representative attending a World Health Day event to talk about non-blood alternatives.

Yessisan insists her local congregation is telling her something contrary to fundamental JW doctrine:

“After seeing the texts you sent me, I can see that it has been told many times the JWs do not claim inspiration from God, but that doesn’t take the fact away that when I attended the meetings, the elders many times said the Watchtower and their publications were inspired. Do you think this congregation might be running w/wrong information? It’s misleading to attend a meeting and hear this, when you have proved to me that the WTBS doesn’t say this.”

And although multiple JW’s have told her the idea is wrong, Yessian insists a pioneer sister told her the Watchtower Society sends articles to the Catholic Church for approval, because they are concerned the Catholic Church might sue them.

I’m sorry Yessisan, I’ve spent a lot of time and effort with you in PM’s and emails to help you with your misconceptions. However, there is a practical limit in doing so. Some people start noticing a pattern that anti-JW’s allegations are either flat out lies, misrepresentations of our views, or just plain negatively slanted.

Others just dig in and insist they are right even when presented clear evidence in print.
You edited my comments! How typical of a JW.

Another typical thing of JWs, try to cover up the mistakes of the WT or their members… stick up for your religion, I don’t mind that. What I mind is that you are just like all JWs. You cannot believe that there is anything wrong going on even when it’s in front of your face.

Like I said, I know what I heard, I know what I saw, I know who is teaching lies in my DH’s congregation. I don’t need to prove it to you or to any JW. I’m done w/you BibleSteve. I should’ve listened to Ravyn and Hellisreal from the beginning.

You skipped over all of mine.

I have read Yessians post history. You did misrepresent her.

Thank you Bible Steve, please, I understand we can get busy dont rush I am not going anywhere.😉

Also, word of advice- dont post anyones PM’s here. Its agaist the forum rules.

I dont want you to do something like that, I know you dont either.👍

**And, when someone charged that the WTS lied about Franz’ educational records in their publications, I clearly and systematically showed the claim was false.

And no one commented, or retracted the false charge… Not a peep…

Hi Steve,
I made that claim and it is true. I don’t recall seeing your response. Could you please provide a link to your response so that I may read your explanation, then dig thru my Watchtower literature and find you exact page number of the claim?
Thanks & agape,

I totally understand. The only reason I did is that Yessisan specifically asked me to…

The quotes are 100% accurate.

I’m not going to discussing her allegations any longer.

Steve, this is an article from a theology school which points out the original claim was made in the Society-hyped proJW book called FAITH ON THE MARCH. It is re-quoted in the book JEHOVAHS WITNESSES IN THE DIVINE PURPOSE published by the WTSociety. I have to hunt thru my books and find that book from 1955. Gimmee some time.
By the way, thanks Steve. I’m okay until the meds wear off, then the panic/anxiety attacks start.

Oh, by the way, I should mention that I have never read Faith On the March myself. I got that quote from it from a Watchtower publication. But A.H. MacMillan (author of Faith On the March) was not some outsider, he was a high-ranking Jehovah’s Witness and there really is no way I’m going to believe that he himself made that up about Fred Franz himself out of thin air.

One last thing,
FAITH ON THE MARCH was sold in Kingdom Hall literature counters all over the USA. My own Kingdom Hall had copies of it for sale as late as 1981.

Fred Franz’s statements made in 1987 as in Steve’s link,
are much more honest on his part.

This is all getting too confusing for me. I am not sure which matters have been left open and which are answered satisfactorily.

Based on my reading of events, Franz was attending the University and was selected as one of two candidates to take the Rhodes exam. At first glance, this shows some higher level of academic ability.

The Rhodes organization confirms he passed the test. This too shows a high level of academic ability.

Franz says he withdrew his application for Rhodes to become a full time minister, and was only told about being offered by his Greek Professor. He never said anything about receiving word from the Rhodes organization.

For him to have been selected as only one of two to take the test, and then to pass the test, and be told by his Professor he’d would have been offered, all shows good things about it academic ability.

The Rhodes organization said nothing to contradict this. They didn’t keep records of who was offered, only those elected and attended Oxford.

Macmillan has 3 sentences in his personal memoirs in which he describes all this activity as “carrying away the honors”.

Franz was a very busy man working on WTS activities around the world. This book was written by someone else, and published through a stardard publishing company.

Charging Franz or the WTS with “gross lying” over this really seems to be stretching it.

Steve

P.S. I’ve seen Franz speak before… He was very old, and very blind. He could give an extremely detailed 2 hour talk without notes, specifically reciting paragraph over paragragh from the Bible from memory… word for word.

Hi:

I have heard Fred Franz speak on occasion too. He would lead us in the Daily Text at the World Headquarters periodically when I served there as a volunteer.

Here is an interesting website where you can download the audio portion of a talk given by Fred Franz on the significance of the year 1975. There are also talks by Charles Russell, J.F. Rutherford, and N.H. Knorr as well as other well-known people from Watchtower Headquarters.

Here is the link: freeminds.org/wav/wav.htm

Here are some interesting videos too: freeminds.org/video/video.htm

Hi:

I believe the following links will answer your questions above:

quotes-watchtower.co.uk/god_s_channel.html

quotes-watchtower.co.uk/god_s_prophet.html

Jeff S.
Here is another mirror site of the original Quotes.watchtower.ca website which has since been shut down due a WTBS lawsuit against the site owner for posting verbatim “embarrassing” watchtower quotes.

reexamine.org/quotes/channel.htm

This mirror site has links to scans of the original texts in many of the quotes.

Bible Steve, thank you for coming here. I want to say, at the end of the day, when its all said and done- it does take bravery to come to a place where you are outnumbered.

Whether we agree about religion or not, I think we need to all take a deep breath- all of us are in desperate need to realize there are faces and feelings behind each and everyone of us.

Now, back to our battle positions!😉 LOL
