Hi all! Here’s the latest installment in the ongoing epic “Days of my RCIA”.
Three weeks ago in lieu of our RCIA class, we attended a baptism class that was headed by our Deacon. We were told we would watch the baptism the following Sunday.
The following Sunday, last week, Father told us after mass that the mother had called and postponed the baptism until next week, and also that the RCIA teacher had nothing prepared, so class was cancelled. He did tell us that we would undergo the Rite of Acceptance in two weeks.
Today after mass Father told us, the mother had called to postpone the baptism *again, *and the RCIA teacher again had nothing planned for us. So guess what? No RCIA, and our Rite of Acceptance is next week.
So what next? What happens next week? Are we called up one at a time to say a profession of faith? As a group? Are we then dismissed from mass? I only need to be confirmed so will I be dismissed as well? Why would I be excluded from receiving? Can anyone give me some concrete answers on what to expect?
Thanks
Steve
