One gentleman in RCIA had inquired, “Is there Biblical Scripture to help with reassurance about obeying the laws of God?”

I mentioned Psalm 119 Verses 145-146

I call with all my heart, O Lord;
answer me that I may observe your laws.
I call to you to save me
that I may keep your decrees.

I gave my response.

What would your reply be?

***"Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. *(Matthew 7:21)

1sam15:

22 But Samuel replied:

“Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the Lord?
To obey is better than sacrifice,
and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is like the sin of divination,
and arrogance like the evil of idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
he has rejected you as king.”

Hi,

Here is one of many;

Mat 5:17 Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Psalm 1 Verse 2

Rather, the law of the Lord is their joy;
God’s law they study day and night.
