Hello,
We pray the Rosary as often as we can in our home. We have 3 children 2 at home. My youngest has Down Syndrome. My patron Saint is St. Therese and my Rosaries as well as my husbands hang on a statue of St. Padre Pio. Tonight as we were going to pray the Rosary we noticed my husband’s ‘Glory Be’ bead was repositioned and left 20 Hail Mary’s in the end. I’m not sure what to think or do. I live in a Historic haunted area. I’ve been blessed by many things and shown the closer I get to God I get attacked as well. What do I do with the Rosaries. I only just made my 1st holy communion in 2014. I’m new at this. I lost my mother in 2015. It’s been hard emotionally for me. Has anyone experienced this? I have a picture but I’m new and it wont allow me to share…

Thank you!!
God Bless!

I would say the saint michael prayer after every decade of the rosary.

This is hard, it wont let me show the picture. As you pray the mysteries the 5th glory be was moved to the beginning of the first mystery. By itself. Nobody has touched it since 2 days ago. So on the 5th mystery there is 20 Hail Mary’s and no glory be.

I’m having a difficult time picturing this in my mind because none of my rosaries have beads for the Glory Be. The Glory Be is prayed on the small length of rope or chain between the 10th Hail Mary and the next decade’s Our Father, or in the case of the 5th decade, between the 10th Hail Mary and the centerpiece. :woman_shrugging:t2:

I agree with others who said not to let this disturb you, not to let it keep you from praying, and to consider possible explanations that are not supernatural.

I assume the OP means the Our Father bead rather than the Glory Be.

OP, are you saying there are now two Our Father beads together followed by 20 Hail Mary beads?

First and last Our Father of Mysteries bead is always in the end, or beggining of rosary-depends of perspective and 4 Our Father beads are between with 5 decades. If you have 20 beads left in the end it means that fourth moved up and disappeared , which can mean may be that knots which separate the beads got untied and bead joined those in 2 decades.
It got me to think more about it and story doesn’t make sense, I cannot visualise how does it looks like now… If 5th Our Father bead was removed it basically means that there couldn’t even be 3 Hail Mary’s, Our Father and cross for The Creed if these two decades are united but they are there as you said and it is phisically impossible to have united first and fifth Mistery.
Ignore whatever happened.
Don’t give up on Rosary anyway!

My brain hurts.

I have never seen a rosary with a “glory be” bead.

The beads are the Aves and the Paters.

Are saying that you now have 20 Aves in a row without a Pater? The Pater (our Father) bead broke off, or slipped out of place. Simple wear and tear.

I’m a new Catholic… so I obviously have been mistaking the our Farther bead for Glory Be. Lol Ok This Rosary sits hanging on St. Padre Pio statue everyday. Noone touched it. It was definitely spiritually done. I do have a picture. This site wont allow me to share since I’m new. So at the bottom
  1. CROSS
  2. Our Father Bead
    3.3 Hail Mary Beads
  3. Glory Be
1st mystery the black our father bead went into the beginning instead of the 10 hail Mary’s leaving none for the 5th. On 5th mystery are 20 Hail Mary’s. This is the best I can do. Without an actual picture.

I still prayed with my other ones. Do we take ones that have been changed mysteriously to the church?

If you could post picture it would be much easier. I really cannot imagine how it looks like now…
No, you can pour small amount of blessed water on it if you have and leave it where it was.

You need to post a photo. There is no reason why you can’t post one. Please do so so we can try to figure out what you are talking about.

Or perhaps in this configuration? (as seen below)

My rosary beads have broken numerous of times, I have used very thin electrical wire to repair them. Jesus has fallen off his cross a few times, I used superglue to stick him back on. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that Jesus’s right arm was missing. Dunno when that broke off. I still use the rosary beads, as it is a tool to keep me on track. I have even had them knotted in such a way, I can fathom how they got in such a massive tangle. I can spend some considerable time un-knotting them and as I am reminded of Mary Undoer of Knots!

I did use CathF’s rosary picture of the rosary beads (hope you don’t mind Cath) to replicate what you have said in your posts. If you have some thin electrical wire at home and pliers at home, fix them as to how they should be. Best do this over a tray, so you don’t have to keep looking for parts of the bead or electric wire.

Edited because bottom half of rosary beads not showing. 🙃

It is all right, I borrowed it from google 😉
That is what happened to me recently, Jesus fell off from steel cross I use every day and rosary beads united in other parts of rosary because of untied knots. I glued it so it wont go anywhere now.

Just don’t put it through the wash as i have done accidentally a couple of times!

I assume she means the “Our Father” beads. Some instructions for the rosary say to pray the “Glory Be” on the bead, and the “Our Father” in the space between the single bead and the decade beads.

my husband’s ‘Glory Be’ bead was repositioned and left 20 Hail Mary’s in the end.
As you pray the mysteries the 5th glory be was moved to the beginning of the first mystery.
It sounds like the rosary beads were clamped on (see example). The clamped portion must have come loose and slid over the string holding the crucifix.

Simply try to wiggle the bead back into place and reclamp with a pair of pliers.

I wish this were that simple they hang over St Padre Stature and the 5th Our Father Bead literally moved by itself to the beginning of 1st mystery leaving 20 Hail Mary’s on the 5th. Not tangled and not moved?

Call a priest so he can bless your place.

Is it possible one of your kids was using it, the bead fell off, they stuck it back on, hung it back up, and are nervous/ashamed/scared to say they touched it?

The OP has explained, repeatedly, that as a newly registered member, she is not yet allowed to post a picture—so, yes, there IS a reason that she cannot post a picture at this time.
