My sister and my niece

Today, I woke up to a text from my sister. She came home to find my niece in a sexual act with her boyfriend. She was very upset in her text. I lifted her up in prayer when I said my daily rosary and I dropped a note in our intention box when I got to church. Maybe prayers of people more holy than myself can help better, or maybe just more prayers can help more.

She has always been there for me when I need help. Now she’s the one who needs help. All I can do is pray and call since I live so far away.

On a tangent, please also pray for a random CA poster who I just tried to check up on, but whose post I failed to find and whose UN I don’t recall.

Depending on the age and finances of the niece-I think I would send them both packing, esp. the boyfriend. Pray for them…yes, but do not tolerate it. Peace.
 
Lord, innocence is lost and trust thrown away by a teen. She’s your child and you saw her go on this journey. Hopefully, there was protection used. It is so painful when a child is involed. Send wisdom to the Mom’s heart and courage to know how to deal w this. May our Father be glorified in this circumstance.
It is a shame that our children don’t love themselves enough to consider themselves treasures, worthy of a ring and promise of a good future. Sex=love. They don’t understand lust and love and the difference. Dreams of white picket fences and futures mingling w raging testosterone. Let Mom and teen feel God’s love pull them through this.
