My sister in law has breast cancer

I was deeply saddened and distraught today when my sister in law (married to my wife’s brother) called me to let me know she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is scheduled to be operated on in 6 days, and she will not know much more till after the operation.

She has frequent exams, but they have told her they won’t really know the extent till they operate.

She has not only been my sister in law for 30 years, but a special friend. She is fun to be around, and would do anything for me and my family. I lover her, as does all my family.

Please remember her when you talk to God, and ask our Blessed Mother to give her strength. 😦

and scientist to find a cure for this terrible disease.
We beg of you to help this woman through this

Guy I’m really sorry. This is very sad. I will speak of her to God, this friend and sister of so many years. She sounds delightful… Trishie

Dearest Jesus, please help Guy’s sister-in-law and her family through this shock and anxiety. Please grant that the operation will be successful and she can be cured. Let Your Spirit be with her, and all her family.
 
Dear Lord, leper messiah: have pity upon the sick and unhealthy; may your mercy coddle them so that they can live piously for the rest of their days. Nevertheless, your will be done before ours.

All glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

Also, tell her to get on a heavy Vitamin D regimen. Low Vitamin D levels have been linked. The survival rate goes up to over 70% by getting those levels up. FIsh oil, fish and 15 minutes in the sun.

I appreciate y’all’s prayers. She is much more than my sister in law. She has always been close to my wife and I because her husband is out of town 2-3 weeks a month. She is especially close to me because over the years I helped her with the kids when she was tied up at work, or needed something done around the house.

I spoke to her yesterday, but did not get far before she had a breakdown, and asked me to pray for her. I said, “you don’t have to ask, you know I am.” Debbie and I went to Mass Wednesday night and remembered her, and I told her that. She is not Catholic, but thanked me. “I dunno what that means, but it sounds big.” “As big as it gets sweetie.”

She said she was scared to death, and I told her that is a normal thing when someone tells you have cancer. Her operation comes in 3 days, and she just wants to get it over with.

I went to the grotto at the church today, and offered my rosary for her today. It made me feel better. Keep praying for her.
 
Holy Mother and Saint Peregrine, please intercede on behalf of this woman and her family. Get her through the surgery safely, and give her and her family the strength they need.

Beautiful prayer - I prayed it for your beloved sister-in-law and friend.

Update- It is with great joy I report my good friend, and SIL, was operated on today and the small centimeter lump removed. Cancer had not spread, and was confined. Aftter a radiation treatment in a few days, she will be good to go.

Thank y’all for your many prayers.

I went by to see her, and she is sore but in good spirits, and relieved. She made me promsie to take her for Chinese buffet day after tomorrow.

Please thank the Lord next time y’all talk to him. :signofcross:
