It’s impossible to prove the Trinity but I was thinking, the more I make mistakes the closer I’ll be to understanding the Trinity.

Now the Trinity is a relation of persons in God.

A good analogy would be how the mind has relations in itself -will, intellect, etc. Or how the mind is one though it becomes each idea which it has -the mind is not divvied up by multiplicity of ideas such that you have many minds with many ideas.

But the perfections of creatures are in God. So the perfection of the mind -which is realized in the processions must be in God too. So the Trinity of persons -a relation of processions- exists in God.

If the persons are “in” God, then would that mean the persons are “not” God?

Good “Proof”! 👍

My favorite proof of the Trinity is the argument from love. For if God is love than all he emits is love. Thus, he emits from himself love itself. God is love. Therefore he emits a reflection of himself (God the Son). The love they share is the Holy Ghost.

It’s kind of like a marriage. The love that God the Father and God the Son share begets another.

I don’t know if the wording you are using is accurate, but the conclusion, may not be far off the mark.

There is the Presence of God (Holy Spirit) the Word God spoken in His Presence (He would have to be Present to speak His Word) which dose proceed from God in God’s Presence (The Son) from the will of God, (The Father). God doesn’t say what His Will is not, He says what His will is for His Creation in His Presence in His Creation, the Father of all things that are.

No different then you have a will, you express that will, in your own presence and you must be present for something to hear that will, in the desire that it be fulfilled, according to the will expressed.

I’ve explained the concept of the Trinity be pointing out that people are triune beings. People possess a body, a mind, and a personality. The body can be crippled, like Stephen Hawking, but the brain and personality still function at a high level. A person’s personality can change (He’s not acting like himself") while their body and mind still function, or like a person who is very intelligent, but can’t relate to people. Lastly, a person can have a functioning body and a great personality, but test low for IQ. All three are contained in the same person but function independently. If we, who are imperfect, are triune beings, then how much easier is it for Father, Sone, and Holy Spirit to be a Trinity.

Memory, thought, personality, physicality, emotion, will, instincts, subconscious reactions, voice.

Hello Paxvobis;
My favorite proof of the Trinity is the argument from love.
Can the greatest commandments possibly describe how Christ is one with the Father?

When Jesus spent his time on Earth he would have lived by these commandments.

Jesus loves God the Father with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.
Jesus loves each and every one of us as he loves himself.

Does God the Father respond to this love?

God the Father loves God the Son, with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.
God the Father loves each and everyone of us as he loves himself.

Can God the Father or Son love us more than they love themselves.

Can the spirit be the power of God’s love working through the greatest commandments?

This passage links the spirit and the greatest commandments…
1 Samuel 18

** 1 Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself**

peace

Eric
