I will be praying for your family. My daughter is a recovering drug addict,it was a little over a year ago that she was shooting up and killing herself. This is the first Easter in a few years that she is clean and not in jail. For me, standing at the foot of the cross with Mary helped tremendously. I used to think but your Son was innocent and my daughter is not, then it occured to me, it doesn’t matter, that is my daughter and she is being tormented, & killed by the enemy and I am standing as Mary did, unable to do anything except pray and be there for my daughter even it that means letting go. Mary had to accept God’s will and watch as others tortured and killed her Son…she knows exactly what you are going through. I know too, just keep trusting in God. And keep placing your son at the foot of the cross in God’s tender Mercy and care. I’ve always heard that God always listens to the prayers of mothers.

Thank you all for your prayers. We feel like our lives are lost without our son. We love him so much.

***Eternal Father, I offer You the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus Christ,
In union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
For sinners everywhere, those in the Universal Church, in my home, and within my family.

Prayer of St. Gertrude

Pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory who can pray for us but not for themselves. Pray so that they will be released into Heaven, and ask them to intercede for your beloved son to return home safely and clean. Your family will have all these friends near the Lord interceding on your behalf. Even if Free Will does exist, so does Divine Mercy;)

Father, in the name of Jesus, please give comfort to Marco and his wife this lonely Easter. Please keep their son safe

I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve seen my son. He is healthy thank the Lord. He is not ready to come home yet but at least we know where he is.

God Bless each of you who prayed for his safety. I hope God will help him overcome his addiction and live a healthy, faith filled life.

Great news! 🙂 At least you know where he is and you’ve seen him. That’s good. Keep us posted. We’ll keep praying…😉

My dear Saviour,
I unite all my affections with the affections of Your most loving Heart;
and I offer them, thus united, to Your eternal Father,
and beseech Him in Your name to vouchsafe,
for Your love, to accept them.
Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen

***Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy; ***

"No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love Him,
God has revealed to us through the Spirit.
For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God…
Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God,
that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.
And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit…"
~Pope John Paul II

Dear Lord, please help Marco and his wife to cope with their disappointment and sorrow.

Mother Mary remembering how worried and sad you were when Jesus disappeared for days when He was twelve, please have compassion on these parents and their son, and pray for them with all your heart. Pray that this young man will be prevented from further harm, and that he can be cured of his addiction, and return to comfort his parents’ hearts.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

Their guardian angels and patron saints please pray for them

On behalf of your son

Prayer for Inner Healing
from Fr. Gabriel Amorth

Lord Jesus, you came to heal our wounded hearts. I beg you to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart. I beg you, in a particular way, to heal all who are the cause of sin…

Lord Jesus, you know my burdens. I lay them all on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech you - by the merits of the great, open wound in your heart - to heal the small wounds that are mine. Heal the pain of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.

Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my own heart.

Heal, my Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds that cause me physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of Your Divine Heart. Help me to be meek and humble.

Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones, which is oppressing me. grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that you are the Resurrection and the life. Make me an authentic witness to your resurrection, your victory over sin and death, your living presence among us. Amen.

Thank you so much for the continued prayer. My son contacted us briefly and said that he might come home but then never showed up. We haven’t heard from him since then.

The only positive aspect of this situation has been the kind prayers of you prayer warriors. Please know that my wife and I appreciate your loving concern at our time of trial

God Bless You !

I read this prayer and thought that you and your wife could say it daily for your son and others. Today being Divine Mercy Sunday would be an excellent time to start praying it.

Prayer for the release of a loved one from alcohol or drug addiction through the Divine Mercy and Blood of Jesus.

Lord Jesus, I put myself into Your hands this day. I ask You with all my heart, to cure the terrible addiction to alchhol (drugs) in (name the person).

Create in them an intolerance for alcohol (drugs) that will prevent them from ever offending those who love them again.

And grant their loved ones the grace to forgive them for all the hurt they have caused.

Through the Divine Mercy and blood of Jesus, I also pray that they will be healed of all withdrawal symptoms of this terrible affliction.

I sincerely ask this, in the name of Jesus. Amen

Prayer of Divine Mercy Apostolate
Capuchian Friary, Dublin

I also will pray this for your son daily, and all who are addicted to anything.

Please pray for my 18 year old son who left home 4 days ago and has not been heard from since. We have called him and left messages but he refuses to call us. This troubled kid has been arrested for marijuana possession twice in the last 2 months and is now violating his probation. He hates living in our home because he said we are too strict and demanding. We have tried to raise him as an honest and faithful person and he is certainly a kind person. Even the police who arrested him commented on how nice a kid he was. Now he has gone off the deep end and has cut himself off from his family. We are sick with worry and I have been diagnosed with major depression. This young kid has great potential but is lost.

Please pray for his conversion. Thank you.
I’ll pray for him, but be aware that young people have to find their own way in this world and
sometimes they have to learn the hard way.
I wish we would treat substance abuse as a health issue rather than a criminal issue.
As a parent, you have to decide if you will allow him to return home, he will find out
soon enough that it’s hard out there with no family to fall back on.
I’ve often wondered if allowing an adult child to live free at home is doing them a favor.
Life costs money, to get money you need a job.

As one who was orphaned at an early with no great inheritance…as a matter of fact NONE…
I find myself annoyed with the arrogant notion that he “may” come home.
He has parents and a home that he is too spoiled too appreciate.
I sincerely hope that there are rules he must agree to, IF he is allowed to come home at all.
And if he’s not, he can join the military.

On this Divine Mercy Sunday, may God pour forth His mercy upon your son.

Praying that your son may have the courage to face your family once again and reform his way like the prodigal son. One Our Father and Three Hail Mary for your intention.

*Deliver me, O Jesus,
From the desire of being loved,
From the desire of being extolled,
From the desire to being honored,
From the desire of being praised,
From the desire of being preferred,
From the desire of being consulted,
From the desire of being approved,
From the desire of being popular,
From the fear of being humiliated,
From the fear of being despised,
From the fear of suffering rebukes,
From the fear of being calumniated,
From the fear of being forgotten,
From the fear of being wronged,
From the fear of being ridiculed,
From the fear of being suspected.
Amen.
