Thanks so much! We now play white noise on youtube the one that’s ten hours straight and we bought a graco glider rocker that fully reclines back which, once he’s fully asleep in my arms, makes the transition to bed easier than the bassinet. We have red lights, white noise ,… I try to think of Jesus asking me to care for him, that gives me some strength. He just napped now so I think i might too. Thanks so much again. God bless you.

21 years ago, my baby had evening gasiness, She’d be fine all day and then when we got home from Work/Daycare, she’d cry non-stop until her last feeding before bed. I was at my wits end. Luckily for it it turned off like magic at 12 weeks. Good luck and hang in there. The first 6 months are tough, but it just keeps getting better! Then they call you from college and want to change their major, forfeit their scholarship, and oh yea, there’s a “cute boy who likes me”, and…you get the idea LOL

Congratulations Mama!

I am so thrilled to hear all is well!

I had one baby that only slept after a car ride. One day I didn’t have the car to drive him to sleep so I strapped him in the car seat and pushed him around the house making car noises. The other kids thought I was losing my mind, but it worked! After that night the kids would all ask to “be the car” for him. We also sat the car seat on top of the washer machine as we were running laundry (we held the seat so no chance of it falling). Don’t be afraid to try crazy things. You never know what might help.

On a positive, colic tends to disappear relatively quickly. They say 4-6 months, but often it is sooner. My youngest was colicky and with her we found relief with warm baths followed by skin to skin contact. My husband would take off his shirt and we would have her just in a diaper. He would hold her on his chest covered with a blanket or in a rebozo/sling and sing, hum or make just simple repetitive noises. The louder she cried, the more repetitive the sounds. Between the warmth of the skin, deep male voice and vibrations it somehow soothed her. Didn’t work so well for me though. Shushing in her ear while I patted her back and walked or rocked her sometimes worked, but she was daddy’s girl for many months.

What a huge blessing! Thank you so much for sharing in Lords gift of LIFE. ✝️💜
