Hurray! We got his physical education books and they teach abstinence as the best method to prevent unwanted pregnancies and STDs. My husband and I are loving life.
It’s a cyber school in my county in PA. Please PM me if you would like the name. Honestly, when my husband got the textbook, it was the first section he turned to.Which cyber school is promoting such a new idea?![]()
Cyber school means my son learns at home, but the curriculum is provided and watched on a computer. There are live classes where the teachers actually teach the lesson, and there are assignments that need to be completed in order to ensure the student is keeping up with the class. He cal work ahead on particular subjects, or he can do a little bit of each subject every day. The main goal is that he completes assignments timely, receives feedback, and ensures he corrects the feedback in order to achieve a better grade. What is cyber school and for what ages? I teach my children abstinence. Not everyone shares this teaching even though there are many Catholics and Christians here. Very disappointing.
This sounds like a nice halfway point between full-on home-schooling, and a “conventional” classroom. It also would seem to work even for families that can’t afford to have one parent stay home full-time to be the teacher, which has struck me as one problem with “traditional” home-schooling, it assumes such a parent, usually the mother, is available. But many mothers who would prefer to stay home can’t for financial reasons.Cyber school means my son learns at home, but the curriculum is provided and watched on a computer. I like it because I know his assignments and get timely feedback. There are no classroom disruptions, teasing or bullying. The downside is socialization. However, no socialization at this point in time is better than the negative socialization he experienced last year.
Cyber school starts in first grade in our state and continues through high school graduation.
