Note: The grammar in the text below will be most likely terrible because my 5-year-old son has a question. And this text has too bad grammar to correct… for me.

hi my nam iss graham i hav a qeshun why do peeple gro up fass but i dont i reely want to bea
big but im not thx

-Graham

I made the -Graham. 😃 So what I think he wrote was why he is small and other people are so big. I think he wants to be big but fast to. Why did God make it like this?

Thanks,

Tell him that God, the “biggest” of us all, sent us a baby,Jesus, to lead us.

My son asks me this question a lot. Sometimes he wants so badly to be an adult and other times, he misses being little. What helps him (and it might help Graham) is to talk about all the things he can do now that he couldn’t do when he was a baby and he won’t be able to do when he’s a grown up. It helps him feel content where he is when he thinks of all the special things about his age.

For example…
A baby can’t play with Legos, help make lunch, eat an ice cream sundae, or tell jokes
A grown up has to go to work, pay taxes, and have many other responsibilities
And sometimes grown ups are too tired for running around and playing…we can be pretty boring 😉
