This one affects me. I’m feeling it. I resigned from the BSA due to the organization’s agreement that homosexuality is a normal thing and not a matter of moral concern. I honestly believe the organization has been on the long, low skid out.

Usually, with these social issues, they’re distant. You can see something like gay marriage happening, and unless you have the Blissful Pair next door, it’s all a newspaper matter, gray and gone.

Thus, in our times, the Limousine Liberals have it best. They can avoid the social messes they make. They can fence themselves off, with their peers, in clean gated communities. They can send their children to private schools, and avoid a lot of nonsense.

I’m sorely distressed by the Current Occupant. Why are there no calls for impeachment of a man who has pledged to uphold the Constitution, but selectively enforces only those laws he likes—won’t enforce valid law he dislikes—and who has issued geenormous numbers of Executive Orders to impose his personal diktats upon the land?

Why isn’t he getting run out of office?

I suppose the ACLU is just starting to sniff the stench of this arrogant king we have, who spies on the public, who lies to the people, and who, for what reason? for what reason? totally ignores trying to economically revive our moribund economy?

The legacy here is painful and will continue to depress the country long after this guy’s gone.

(Sorry if I sound Conservative Cranky; I’m a whipsawed moderate).

I got lost. Is this about Scouts or Obama?

I’m trying to keep optimistic about what BSA really did versus what the spin doctors are saying. Didn’t they merely allow membership by boys who claim the orientation, but retain their longstanding code of conduct? Isn’t that what the catholic church does too?

I’m not a Scout and have no history with them, but I don’t really trust media spin anymore. What did they REALLY change?

As for Obama, don’t get me started. I’m from Illinois and I’ve had to put up with him longer than you!

This seemed to have very little to do with BSA and all to do with a rant about the President. You could also have a rant that the BSA were discriminating against little boys who are overweight because they were not allowed to attend this years Jamboree.
