Sorry, but just because an expectant mother “wants” a girl and gets a boy or vice verse does NOT “make” the child have SSA!?! How absurd! How ridiculous! How hurtful to those who have SSA children.

Also, wanting a boy a getting a girl does not “make” that girl into a tomboy! Again, how ridiculous!

You do people who have children with SSA a great disservice by making this assertion. It is very hurtful to them and NOT TRUE.

My mother very much wanted a girl, and I was (and still am in many ways) a tomboy. I love being outside, doing “guy” things. I am also very heterosexual, and am not at all “attracted” to women. I abhore the “girly girl” stuff. Nothing wrong with it for others, but it is just not me. Give me a lawnmower or snow shovel any day versus decorating the inside of a house.

I think you owe some people an apology, since you are basically “blaming” the parents for their SSA children.
mariafrancisca offered a personal opinion, no doubt based on her experiences and what do you do? Why, you counter her, nay, you absolutely slam her by offering your own personal opinion. Now, if that’s not a wee bit irrational, it sure is a tad hypocritical. I think you owe her an apology.

Thanks John, and perro_sarnoso 🙂

Let me make it clear,
I hold nothing against tomboys, really.

To be honest, being a tomboy is just a burden to me. I want to be a real woman. So is the same sex attraction (or most likely temptation) that I experience, it is a real cross.

I want to be a real woman. That is why I ask the Lord Jesus to help and heal me. And Jesus can and have healed me. Turns out, it is just a matter of not being accepted as the sex you are created in the womb. Either by a father or a mother. And I have forgiven my mother and father and I love being a woman.

May the merciful Jesus bless you.

PS: thanks for noting this. I have just forgiven my father and it seems like a great burden is lifted off me. I think my father might have wanted a boy when I was in the womb.

My servant told me that she has a sister, named Dina. And she is very tomboyish. Her father had wanted a baby boy so badly, and her mother wanted a baby girl. I ask her, well, her father did NOT carry her in his womb, how come she knows and is affected by this mere thinking and wishful thoughts? turns out, a father’s wishes can affect a child’s behaviour pattern.

Wow.

I do not say that tomboys are lesbians, where in the line did I say that. But they are more likely to have the tendencies for same sex attraction. I so wanted to be a feminine woman, and by forgiving my father, a great burden is lifted off me.

Thank you Jesus!

I’m afraid you don’t realize just how complicated the concept of a ‘real woman’ is. Trust me, as a MAN, I’ve had a fair share of such complexity.

I believe I’ve already quoted enough lines from your testimony that at the very least heavily implies such things. In fact, you just did it again upon saying this:
But they are more likely to have the tendencies for same sex attraction.
Again, not true. They only bona fide way you can determine someone’s sexuality is well through hormonal, sexual attraction.

Just because a girl’s got short hair doesn’t mean she’s lesbian.
Just because a girl plays more video games than Barbie dolls, doesn’t mean she’s a lesbian.

Okay, I’m with you, tomboys are not gay.

None of all the women in the world are gay.

Some do have same sex attractions, but most likely it is from heart wounds. Someone who have hurt them in the past, either a mother or a father, either boyfriend or girlfriend, either friends of the same sex or the opposite sex.

They need to forgive those and they will be healed.

May the merciful Jesus bless you

Do nuns cut their hair short? Oh, I just knew that. Thanks 🙂

everyone to your own corner! 🙂

I can see both sides here, both Catholic90’s and MariaFrancisca’s.

I think that Maria might not realize that some of her statements about parents and the womb could be hurtful to parents who are suffering because of a child who is gay or has SSA. Altho Maria is presenting her own theories and analysis based on her personal experience, the blanket statements do appear to blame the mother for her thoughts while pregnant. Mothers and fathers of children with SSA suffer for their children, and in many (most?) cases, did nothing wrong.

Maria, you write beautifully and with much love. however, since English might not be your first language (I’m making an assumption based on some of your writings, idioms), you might not be as clear and tactful as you would be in your Mother tongue.

Catholic90, if you read Maria’s posts with that EASL prism, it may be less upsetting to you.

Hi michelleds, I remember you 🙂

Thanks! 🙂

Actually, my parents are not hurt when I say that they have hurt me, and that is why I am having these struggles of same sex attraction and being a tomboy. Like I’ve said, it is a real cross.

I said I’ve forgiven them, and they are relieved. They actually acknowledged that they did hurt me, and they have said sorry to me. I guess they are wonderful people, that as a parents, they would want to say sorry to their children. And acknowledge their faults and failures as parents.

They said (when I was in the rehabilitation centre), we acknowledge our failures, we want to make things better for you and we want to be better.

The only problem is just that they are not well grounded in love of God. That they use their own power to change, so it’s no use. So, I pray for their conversion daily, and they seem to be closer to God now.

I am not mad at my parents. I forgive them. I also forgive all those who have hurt me.
I know that the same sex attraction is not 100% their fault. To me, it is 50%-50%, 50% mine because I consented to it. 50% theirs because I didn’t choose it and yes they did hurt me.

May the merciful Jesus bless you, and thanks for being kind.
