Congratulations on your CNA exam and on your vocation! Please keep posting on how your journey is progressing?
Blessings of Peace and All Good!

I will definitely keep you posted. I’m trying to locate a cell phone that has internet access that I can take up on the trip with me. I’m almost certain I will hear the news of my acceptance, one way or another (I hope it’s the good way), while I’m up there. 😃

In a month and a half, I will be amongst my future Sisters (God-willing), working and paying off the debts that I have incurred to the bank. I am so thankful that Jesus has provided a way for me to be debt-free MUCH sooner than I anticipated! All the money that I will earn will be going straight towards my debt, so that I will only have to work 5 weeks! 😛 I won’t have to worry about food or shelter because I will be living in the convent with the Sisters (kind of like a live-in) working in their apostolate! I was worried about how I was going to get there since I am not working currently (still trying to get my CNA certification; pray that I pass on April 13th), but it’s all been taken care of! Praised be Jesus Christ!

I have been informed that I will most likely be working in the nursery since I have a credential in Early Childhood Education and 40 hours from DCFS. I also have taken courses towards nursing in Human Growth and Development and Child Psychology, Though the Sisters are not teachers, they do work very closely with the children in the group home, making sure their needs are provided for. I’ve also worked in a few daycares and nurseries, so I’ve got good experience to apply to the job! 😃

I’ve still got some paperwork that I have to finish, like a letter of recommendation from my SD (which I hope to get today or tomorrow), a short resume, and I need to submit the results of my physical and mantoux TB test to the Superior for HR needs. I’ve gotten the physical and TB stuff from my CNA classes since it was required and they are being nice enough to let me use that since I can not afford a new physical. 👍

I am excited! I know the first week is going to be AMAZING, but I am expecting a little homesickness since I haven’t lived away from my parents for more than a week, but I am an adult, and I can get through this. 🙂 Please pray for me to have the patience to wait until May! I’m already wanting to be there right now! LOL! Plus, I’m still waiting to hear whether or not I’m accepted, so I’m praying about that, too. Thank you!
Well, great news!!! I passed my CNA test on April 13th, plus I am leaving tomorrow to start my live-in for 6 weeks!!! I’m so very happy, and I’m trying to get ready. I had to buy some new luggage because the ones we had looked horrible and were ripped. I will be gone until June 26th, but I will still be able to access this website because of my internet-compatible cell phone. I’ll post here if I am accepted as a candidate while I’m there. 😃

All the best for your trip (you’ll be in my prayers throughout!). May your live-in period be the confirmation of everything that you most hoped for.

Looking VERY forward to hearing from you!

I hope so too. I have had a cry-out already because the emotions are producing an overload, but I am still one piece! I just keep thinking about how this is going to lessen the anxiety when I actually enter, and that brings a smile to my face everytime! 😃

CarmeliteGirl25 Praised Be God! on everything. I will keep you and your Carmelite Sisters in my Prayers (Rosary, daily prayers, mass, etc.) :gopray:

Amen to that! Bless you for your prayers! Please keep the little children at the Home in your prayers as well. I’ll find out soon who I’ll be working with and what age group. I rather hope it’s the babies! 😃

All the best for everything! You have been such an inspiration to me and definitely to all of us at CAF. I cannot thank you enough.

You are always in my prayers, never forget that:thumbsup:
