okay this is gonna be the first of some posts about my wiccan ways. Now please keep in mind that no two wiccans are the same, so dont think this is how everyone does this if you dont like something you read…

I am 15 and will be 16 on febuary tenth, i was christian for a time but didn’t like the closed mindedness of it. and my cousin had a book on wicca 101 and i started reading it thinking it was going to be a huge joke. then amazingly i didn’t think that anymore and felt like reading more into and then thats how i became a wiccan for 3 years so far.

There are many form of wicca; celtic, norse, welsh, egyptian, ect. and even a mix of all the diffrent forms. I myself study the celtic sect of wicca, mostly cause im part scottish, irish, and finnish. Each sect has there own dieties. We can choose to worship only one or all of them, i stick with only half of them because some are war-like dieties (for example, the morrigan)

welp thats the first part, and many others to come

p.s. please keep comments mature im asking you

Thank you for explaining your beliefs for us. I very lightly delved into Wicca as a young woman.

Do you know the history of your beliefs? Do you know about Gardner?(I think that was his name)

What is your moral guide for doing right and wrong?

How do you explain evil in the world?

Those are all the questions that I can think of but it helps to understand where a religon stands on such areas.

What denomination of Christian were you before you became Wiccan? How do your parents feel about the change?

As far as the closemindedness of Christianity, I admit that there are bad Christians but that doesn 't reflect on the religion itself

Hi reborn,

Can you elaborate on what the closed-mindedness of Christianity was that drove you away?

to put it in a nut shell “if your not with us, ur against us”
thats what i think is very closed minded

my moral guide is the wiccan rede which the short version is on my signature, the longer version you can google it up 🙂

i honestly dont know how to explain the evil in the world…i guess it just happens

i dont know…i dont know what seprates the diffrent sects of christianity, we would go to church every sunday and all that fun stuff…my parents dont know so please ssshhh 🙂

i know its just i always heard “if your not with us, your against us” plus i’ve had alot of bad stuff happen to me. for example i got beat up by a couple of christians cause they found out i was pagan, much less wiccan…

I apologize to you for the actions of these two Christians. They were not treating you in a Christian manner.😦

Yikes,

If I read your footnote right, you believe that as long as what you are doing doesn’t harm anyone else then it is ok?

That is a lot of responsibility placed on the individual. Most people don’t take the time to think thoroughly their actions before they do them. To completely understand the full ramifications to themselves and society before they act.

So were there any teachings of Christianity that you thought were wrong?

Were there other religions or beliefs that Christianity held that “ur against us” view against that you felt sorry for?

Did you not feel fully “with us” whilst a Christian?

I am just curious as to what you failed to fully believe or accept as a Christian.

hi, reborn,

thank you for posting. I would like to just share that you are right in pointing out that some forms of Christianity, especially some severely conservative Protestant forms, can have the connotation of “if you’re not in our denom, you’re going to hell” But I hope that you understand that Catholicism does not go to that extreme. The Catholic Church teaches that most all religions have some truth and goodness, and we believe that although the objectively true God is the God of Catholicism, this same Father, Son, and Holy Spirit can use those elements of truth and grace present in non-Catholic or even non-Christian religions and save such persons, despite the fact that they have some deficiencies.

So, that is, in Catholicism, we try to point out and praise those good things in other religions. If it’s any help, I have an article that elaborates on this subject quite detail-wise, here, called:

On the Salvation of Non-Christians.

I pray that God Bless your search for meaning and truth, reborn.

🙂

i know its alot of responsibility, which is why im pretty good at chess, because just like you said i have to think about my actions, and what will happen if ido…and unlike alot of ppl i actually take full responsibility for my actions
