My Wife and I are In a Difficult Situation

I know I have had several intentions over the past year and I thank everyone for your prayers.

My wife is still unable to find a job here and I just lost my job last Friday, being let go after I called in sick and no feedback given directly to me but through my temp agency.

Now I find out that one of my classes this semester (which I am retaking) requires a different textbook, my financial aid for the year is now uncertain. My wife and I are fighting, with division and scapegoating.

Please pray for us.

I’m feeling so discouraged and hopeless. I’m having trouble finding the energy to do much of anything right now. I don’t even know if it’s still God’s will for us to be married anymore. I just want to cry and cry and cry.

Update:
Thank you all for your continuing prayers! My wife and I are back on track and are growing in unity and better communication. She applied for and got a job back in her home town, so we will be moving back there while I finish my degree long distance.

When I got sick a few weeks ago, I prayed that God would bring some good out of it. I now see that losing my job allowed me to get ahead in my classes so we could move back to be closer to her family, which is where she is happiest. I was trying to force things to work here when they simply weren’t going to.

Even though I’ve grown up here, I’ve never really felt like I belonged and have wanted to move somewhere else for the majority of my life. Now God is letting that happen. I can look back and see all my weaknesses and failures, and how God has had to do a lot of things for me, often in a very painful way that I tried to resist.

Please continue to pray for us, that we grow in love and unity. Pray that Jesus will always be the center of our marriage.
