My Will

Lately, I have found that I am choosing my will over the Lord’s will. Sins that haven’t been problems for years are now problems, and my resistance to them is weak. I have a little opposition when it comes to eating, procrastinating, impurity, chores, working out, and almost everything. I don’t know how to strengthen my will.

I will pray for you. I know where you are because I’m there as well. One suggestion I have is to focus more on Acts virtue instead of focusing so much on sin.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news,
The answer to all your problems is yourself, don’t be so hard on yourselves ,
Relax, much of what your going through is part of growing up ,
What your going through is the same as countless millions before you,
Pray , and be content with your lot in life ,
Life is good , Read random pages in the Gospels , you will find answers to problems before they become problems, Trust me on that !

We all need to use prayer and the sacraments that the Lord gives us.

I know I need to reach out to Him every day for the strength I need to handle all the circumstances and distractions that come my way.

The Sacraments are our strength … I always find that the more often I go to Confession and receive our Lord in the Eucharist, the better I am overall … when I miss receiving the Sacraments, everything suffers.

Here’s one of the things that I try and do:

Rather than put the focus on myself, I try and turn the focus on to God.

What I mean by that is that when I pray, I’ll ask God for Him to do His Will in my life, rather than my Will because He knows better than I do, what I need.

I notice that when I tend to rely on myself more than I rely on God, it doesn’t always work out so well for me. It’s better when I put more of my trust in God, and less in myself.

It took me a long time to try and figure that out.

You can also pray the Lord’s prayer, because that prayer is perfect, and right in that prayer, we are stating that we are asking for the Lord’s Will to be done.
