So, for the past few weeks, I have been occassionally been hearing a whooshing sound in my left ear. It has got me concerned now because there are a lot of things that can cause such a symtom ranging from serious to mild. It might be stress related because stress because I have had a lot of strange physical symptoms ranging from hair loss to swollen lymph nodes that subsides whenever I am on break from school. But, I am going to make an appointment tomorrow just to be sure. I am also going to try to limit my headphone usage to see if that helps.

Pray that it’s nothing and, if it is something, that it can be resolved.

Prayer for the Sick

Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.
Hear me for Your servant @redbetta, who has an unusual
sound in her ear. I implore the aid of Your tender mercy, as she
awaits a diagnosis. May her problem be minor and quickly
go away. I make this request through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon redbetta in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

God grant that things have improved regarding your hearing and your anxiety.
God grant you peace and success.

I don’t have anxiety.

Also, I haven’t heard that sound since I posted this thread.

I’m thankful that you have overcome any possible stress, which involves anxiety, I’d always understood, but I’m sorry if I offended you. Sadly it too easy to unintentionally cause others to need to defend themselves against ones clumsy words. Sorry.

I thank God you have recovered from any stress that you thought might be causing the ‘whooshing ‘and that your are now free from the sound issue itself.
May God continue to bless you abundantly, and may He give joy and success to all your endeavors, and keep you safe from all harm

Thank you. I just really hate words such as anxiety because I usually hear them from school administrators who usually try to make it sound like, when students have problems with their health, it is something with them and not the school’s policies or environment. It’s the students that have to change and not the school itself even though we pay good money for it.

I understand. My pet peeve is similar, when people are categorised, put in boxes from which in some cases they never escape In others opinion.
We are each so complex, and there is so much we don’t know about each other, and people can develop and grow.
I dislike generalisation of people.
May God protect us all from facile judgement or opinion of others!
