Even the “Christ has died” acclamation is not truly legitimate, but merely an American (ICEL) innovation. It is not found in the Roman Missal. The Conference of Bishops has recently been discussing its elimination…
Hmmm…Are they discussing elimination of the innovative Memorial Acclamation? Or, are they discussing the elimination of ICEL?

Yeah, I know. But I can dream, can’t I? :yup:

By “ICEL”, do you mean,

“Insidious Corruptors of English in the Liturgy”?

or merely “Incompetent Clowns…” 😛

Actually, for hundreds of years, MYSTERY OF FAITH referred to the Body and Blood of Christ present on the Altar, IT was, and is, the mystery of our Catholic faith.
The New Mass uses Mystery of Faith as an introduction to
“Christ Has Died, Christ Is Risen, Christ will come Again,” or some other acclamation, saying, Let us proclaim the mystery of Faith.
Love,

In the Roman Missal, New Mass mind you… all it says is “Mysterium Fidei”. IT DOES NOT say “Let us proclaim the mystery of faith”.

This saying is an ICEL invention from what I understand.

Also, the “Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again” is not correct because Christ is present there on the Altar yet He is referred to in this saying in the third person."

“Lex Orendi - Lex Credendi”…

Hopefully both, or replacing everyone in ICEL.😃 .

Why does it matter what “form” is used?.. the only true rule in the Novus Ordo is that there are no rules. The true consecration of the wine, before Anibale Bugnini protestantized it, included the words, “the mystery of faith”. By removing the “mystery” from the consecration, the Novus Ordo service became less offensive to the heretics. So, for goodness sakes, don’t worry about what mystery of faith you are using, it’s really not that important.

More conspiracy theory tripe, more Bugnini and the Protestants hijacking the Mass. And your theologically wrong as well, according to the Church even before the Council, regarding the “true” consecration, as you put it: The essentials are the words “This is My Body” and “this is My Blood,” etc. Read some objective history, instead of the claptrap put forth by radical “traditionalists.”
