My cousin’s name is Taylor, but I can’t find a St. Taylor - what would be his name day or does he have one?

Thanks 👍

Someplace in Heaven there should be a St. Taylor, possibly known only to God, so you’re looking at Nov. 1st, All Saints’ Day.

However, does Taylor have a middle name? Confirmation name? Whatever saint was supplied for those names could be considered a Name Day saint.

There is no Saint Taylor.

Perhaps your cousin has a middle name that is a Christian name?

As others have said, see if your cousin’s middle name is a saint’s name. Many people don’t have a saint’s name for a first name (including myself and my siblings) but do have one for a middle name.

Another possibility is to look at the name Taylor and see that it derives from the occupation of tailoring.

It turns out that St. Matthias is the patron saint of tailors. His feast day is February 24th except in leap years when it is moved to February 25th.

So while it might not be your cousin’s “Name Day” per say, I think it would be perfectly legitimate to look at that date as the feast of his patron saint.

I have one of those goofy made up names, so I don’t have a name-day saint either. I just use my confirmation saint, St. Therese. I wish it WAS my real name. 🤷
