Waves hello to all,

mine would be The Titanic, Bowling for Columbine, An Inconvenient Truth, The Hunt, The Hunger Games.

Does it matter if I really didn’t want to see them to begin with ?

I watched them all except The Conjuring. Trust me when I tell you how disappointing they all were. You didn’t miss a thing. Captain Marvel was the worst of the bunch. The main character was a Mary Sue with no character development whatsoever. The Rise of Skywalker could have potentially salvaged the entire trilogy. Alas, it was not to be. I thought Rian Johnson did a number- but J.J. Abrams went all ‘hold my beer’ and ruined it even more.

One I would like to see but haven’t yet is “Greyhound“ the WWII movie with Tom Hanks. I read the book it is based upon “The Good Shepherd“ as a kid.

None of the Harry Potter movies
None of the LOTR movies
None of the Star Wars movies other than the original three

It’s a Wonderful Life
The Godfather Trilogy
Citizen Kane
The Breakfast Club
All Quiet on the Western Front

These are all movies I would like to see, though.

I have watched some foreign horror films, especially Asian horror films.

They always seem to be scarier than the American horror films.
I do enjoy horror movies, but have never seen any of the big Asian horror films. I’ve heard they’re pretty scary.

Have you ever seen any Italian horror films? Particularly the work of Dario Argento from the 70s and 80s? Those manage to be creepy but cheesy at the same time.

None of the Star Wars except for the first one which I saw in 1978 and was dreadfully bored. I think that makes 5. I’ve also never seen Schindler’s List or Pulp Fiction and have no interest in either.

A quick list, since 2000 I have only seen:
Gladiator
Return of the King
No Country for Old Men

… out of the last 20 Oscar winners for best picture. Of the best pictures I grew up with prior to 1990, I saw about 80% of the winners.

This is a follow up thread to my previous thread of five films you’ve seen five times.

Going through that one, I realized that I haven’t seen a few films.
Out of everything listed here thus far, I have seen most (and like almost all lol) so it is easier for me to list what I haven’t seen from what others have posted:
I’ve seen parts, I want to sit down and watch it one of these days.
  • Citizen Kane
  • Cleopatra (1963)
  • Maltese Falcon
  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • Nosferatu (1922)
Never seen number 2 or 3 on this list, but would like to. Citizen Kane is phenomenal.
The Jesus Trip
Never heard of this.
5 movies I haven’t seen that I don’t care that much about seeing but might take a look sometime if it were on a TV in a bar or something:
The Big Lebowski
Tom Jones
Fargo
Seven
The Hurt Locker
Haven’t seen, and never heard of Tom Jones the movie (I do like the singer though) all of the others are quite good.
Eyes Wide Shut
The Matrix
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Royal Tenebaums
Before Sunrise (or any of its awful sequels)
Eyes Wide Shut was terrible and should be avoided, never seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
I personally enjoyed The Matrix trilogy as pure fantasy and The Royal Tenebaums wasn’t bad as I recall but I haven’t seen it since it was in theaters.
The Last Jedi
The Rise of Skywalker
Avengers End Game
Captain Marvel
The Conjuring (too scary for me)
The Last Jedi was terrible and The Rise of Skywalker wasn’t much better, I didn’t particularly care for Captain Marvel, Avengers Endgame IMHO was very good (if you like superhero movies) and I am a huge horror fan so in my opinion The Conjuring was very good.
I think I may have seen parts of the first Christopher Reeve Superman movie
I loved this film, you should definitely watch it, it was very wholesome and lighthearted, exactly what a Superman movie should be.
I have watched some foreign horror films, especially Asian horror films.
See I’m not really a fan of Asian Horror, and I’m a huge fan of the genre, go figure.
The Lunchbox
Never heard of this.
  • Titanic (Already knew the ship sank. 😁 )
  • Lord of the Rings trilogy
  • The Silence of the Lambs
  • Schindler’s List
  • Citizen Kane
All good films, the last two on your list are “must see” IMHO.
Inconvenient Truth
Never had any interest in seeing this.

Greyhound
I want to see this as well.
None of the Harry Potter movies
None of the LOTR movies
None of the Star Wars movies other than the original three
I really liked all of these.
It’s a Wonderful Life
The Godfather Trilogy
Citizen Kane
The Breakfast Club
All Quiet on the Western Front
I never had any interest in The Breakfast Club (I have seen parts), never heard of All Quiet on the Western Front.
I’ve also never seen Schindler’s List or Pulp Fiction and have no interest in either.
IMHO both were very good.
Gladiator
Return of the King
No Country for Old Men
All very good movies.

Other than those noted in my post I have seen all of the movies that have been posted thus far.

Five I haven’t seen, but would like to:
  1. The Color Purple
  2. Schindler’s List
  3. The Maltese Falcon
  4. The sequels to The Thin Man. (I recorded the whole series when TCM had a marathon a while back. Only watched the first.)
  5. Dark City (been meaning to watch this one all the way through, caught the first few minutes on VUDU Free. They still have it)
Five I haven’t seen, and never want to see:
  1. American Pie and its sequels / spinoffs.
  2. Friday the 13th and its sequels.
  3. The sequels to Phantasm (saw the first, didn’t care for it)
  4. Eyes Wide Shut
  5. A Clockwork Orange

Any of the Transformers movies
I saw the first Michael Bay Transformers movie and was annoyed by the masturbation joke. Have boycotted the series since then.
I binge-watched the first 5 Rocky movies a year ago. Haven’t gotten around to Rocky Balboa (the sixth one) yet.

I would recommend watching the first two Superman movies with Chris Reeve and skipping III and IV. Especially skip IV, that was a dumpster fire.

The 1984 Supergirl movie is fun, if a bit ridiculous. I consider it my favorite “bad” movie. From the same producer as the first three Superman flicks.

The Thin Man - I’ve not seen all of the series but I’ve viewed some of them . I think William Powell and Myrna Loy perform well together in the films.

I also liked The Maltese Falcon. Bogart and Greenstreet do a superb job.

If you never seen it, Six Angry Men is fantastic. All about a jury determining whether someone being tried for murder actually did it. The entire thing basically takes place in the jury room.

I completely agree.

I haven’t seen it in years, but my memory of it is that it wasn’t very good.

The last five Oscar winners for best picture and the five before that.
