What in the world has this category got to do with learning our Catholic faith? I’m surprised that the admins would allow this thread to exist in their web site.
Building relationships is crucial to evangelism. Sometimes a lighthearted forum helps knock down walls that apologetics won’t. Also to the people that spend alot of time here it helps them blow off steam.

LOL – Yes, and I suppose all manner of activities that Catholics do together for fun (such as the upcoming Family Life Apostolate potluck I’m hosting) should be formally labeled as sins, since something outside of Catechism might possibly be discussed. :rotfl:

Thanks, Surf(name removed by moderator)ure. And may I add that I enjoy playing games with other Catholics. On this thread I have enjoyed reading what movies Catholics (and others) enjoy. Part of discernment?

Now before we spend the next few posts getting too serious defending ourselves, I would like to return to the game with the following:

“Have you no compassion for my nerves?”

“You mistake me, my dear. I have the greatest respect for them; They’ve been my constant companions these 20 years.”

“Have you no compassion for my nerves?”

Hilarious! I love this movie: Pride and Prejudice with Donald Sutherland.

Here’s one:

“Can I make a suggestion that doesn’t involve violence, or is this the wrong crowd for that?”

I also have enjoyed this game. But I still have a quote outstanding that no one has guessed yet. Check below with the subsequent clues.
Pulp Fiction

“Millions of people die every year. And it’s never her!”
This movie has no quotes on IMDB. But that’s not a clue.

Here’s a clue: It’s a comedic sequel to one of the greatest movies of all time.
Sorry, no.

Next clue: 2 actors/actresses from the original reprised the roles in the “sequel”.

Note: this was an “unofficial” sequel.

I love that quote!! One of my favorites, thanks!

No.

Next clue: It was a comedy from the mid-seventies.
I’m thinking something along the lines of “The Odd Couple 2”(because of your clue) but that was not in the midseventies…

less cryptic clues required because it’s a bit too hard. Is it some-kind of buddy/duo comedy like I originally thought?

One thing’s for sure. It’s not Airplane.

Anyway here’s a great quote…

“But one thing’s sure. Inspector Clay is dead, murdered, and somebody’s responsible.”

Next Clue: George Segal plays the son of a very famous detective.

I’ve always been good at these games…My sister and I used to play them all the time…
Perhaps I should go easy at first…I didn’t see every single line given. So excuse me if I accidently repeat something…

“Hey Vasquez, you ever been mistaken for a man?”

“No, have you?”

Aliens.

“You think that’s air you’re breathing? Hmm.”

  • The Matrix*
“Astrodome? You can’t grow a good hot dog indoors. Yankee Stadium. September. The hot dogs have been broiling since opening day in April. Now that’s a hot dog.”
