Was naughty. Had a bacon sandwich. Couldn’t wait any longer to try the griddle/grill part of the new oven.

I had a hamburger yesterday and paid for it as well… 😫

I will say a prayer for ya, it is no fun…I also ended up in the hospital for a week because of an infection from diverticulitis and then the GERD on top of that…made me really change my ways…

Mine is a hiatal hernia and stomach pushing up against my throat, according to the x-rays. I’ve been told that after my surgery, I’ll be taken off of a number of my medications. The GERD won’t be completely gone. But it’ll be such that I can take OTC antacids instead of the number of prescription strength stomach and GERD/acid reflux meds I’m on now. It won’t be an every day thing just occasional. Oh, to not be “a churning cauldron of acid reflux” will be wonderful.

All of this started after my gall bladder came out (two weeks before the Moody Blues concert, which I would’ve attended via ambulance, if necessary). And it has gotten worse with each passing year. Can’t have spices. Must eat bland. I’ll probably continue eating this way even after my surgery. I’ve gotten so used to it.

I’ve had to adapt all recipes to blander versions. Hard when you love Mexican, Tex-Mex and all ethnic foods.

My dinner was a weird mixture of:
  • Doughnuts (one chocolate, one coconut)
  • Ranch Doritos
  • A banana
  • Trail mix
  • Lime La Croix

It is a mixture of various beans (I use black beans, red beans , and pinto beans), sweet corn, bell pepper, onion , avocado, hot peppers, and I toss in some dice tomato and a bit of sour cream. It is served with nacho chips.

[Sounds good, Milt…I’ll have to hit a Mexican restaurant this weekend…]

Cheddar-jack cheese and poached eggs on a toasted wheat roll, and spiced tomato juice.

Stopped into Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch after getting a haircut. Had my usual, grilled tenders with buffalo chips. My sauce choice this time was spicy garlic. Unsweetened iced tea to drink.

Shouldn’t have but went Mexican. Taco, enchilada, rice, sopapilla and ice cream. Water to drink.
