i wish i had a date night XD, its soo hard to find the right pardner, especiall when you are old, hahah

[We’ve been married for 40 years…not exactly kids…]

Really getting hot here…brunch was Greek yogurt, an apple, a handful of pretzels, and spicy tomato juice.

For our dinner I made a marinated boneless butterflied roast leg of lamb. I served it with its own juices from the marinade.

For side dishes I served loaded mashed potatoes, and yellow sweet corn.

That sounds sooo good. Sis doesn’t like lamb, so we seldom buy it. ( Which is wierd since she is on the Jewish side of the family.)

Little Caesar’s Deep Dish Veggie pizza w/ black olives, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions.

One piece of bacon and a cup of tea.
And 2 tablespoons of concentrated pomegranate juice, which I’ve been having every day.

Quite hot here…
A big salad, including the first tomato from our garden, ham and Swiss on a small rye roll, deviled eggs, and cold well water…pineapple sherbet for dessert.

I had some roast pork and roasted potatoes and pumpkin. A cinnamon muffin and a cup of tea.
Just before ,I had a cup of water, ice cold from the tank as it feels almost like a frost. It must be snowing in the Alps tonight 🤔

Extremely hot here today, highs in the mid-90s.

Cannot bear the thought of cooking and adding more heat to my house. Thinking of buying microwaveable ready meals instead.

I love it! I grew up eating it.

We don’t have it very often, because my husband isn’t big on it, but he’ll eat it. For him, it’s an acquired taste because they didn’t eat it in his household.

Plus, I don’t buy it that often, just due to the expense, too. I try and buy it when it’s on sale.

I couldn’t pass it up when Aldi’s had it on special this last week. It already came in a marinade of veggie oil and herbs and spices.

I added a little olive oil and oregano and garlic and onion powder to it and let it sit before I roasted it. It was a bit spicy, but tasted really good. My husband really enjoyed it, which I was really glad about. 🙂

Gatorade during the night. Taking care of a very sick doggie all week has me needing the energy.

This morning, I’ll make chicken and biscuits for myself. Mama will have her usual toast w butter and jam.

I’m having some cheese and crackers, a slice of watermelon, and some cherries. And my tea.

Bagel with veggie cream cheese, banana, trail mix, and Monster Ultra Black

Bratwurst, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, lots and lots of ice water 💦.

It is scorching today.

What a great meal you had! We love to eat Brats here. I’m sorry that you have to deal with the heat where you are. Today is the last day for us. It’s already cooling off for us outside.

For our dinner I heated up the last of the roast lamb, so we finished that off. I made green sweet peas to go with it, and mashed potatoes. I had some cold Caffeine-free Diet Pepsi to drink.

Right now I’m drinking some cold bottled water. 🥤
