Christmas Eve dinner was oven roasted bone-in turkey breast with turkey gravy and whole berry cranberry sauce, sweet and spicy green beans, cheesy mashed potatoes and refrigerator biscuits, with Christmas cookies for dessert. I had cold bottled water to drink.

Ooh,I should have come over to yours…fly back in time and have a second go 😉 Well done!

Two pancakes, a couple of bacon strips, one small sausage patty, black coffee, and a biscuit (American style).

Hot cocoa and burritos. Mama is ill today. So everything on her menu today will be bland. No tamales for her this Christmas.

Merry Christmas! 🎄

You would have been more than welcome, too! ❤️ ❤️

I made a large enough turkey breast to share, so there is enough for a CAF member turkey buffet! 😉 😁

The cat didn’t want any turkey at first, but we think it’s because she just can’t taste anything as well as she used to, especially if the food is either too cold or too hot for her. 🦃 🐾

I’m still trying to get it “just right” for her! LOL!! 😁 😉 She is more like “Baby bear” of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” every day now. 🐻 🐻 🐻

I suppose if I was around 100 years old in human years, I’d probably be having a bit of a difficult time, too. ❤️

I have to keep my sense of humor about all of this, or it can drive me batty…🦇

She did eat it a bit later though, at room temperature, so I am thinking that that may be the way to go, then. 😀

Tonight’s Christmas dinner will be more turkey and leftovers…

I baked a frozen mixed-berry pie the other night too, for us to have…🥧

My husband keeps munching on the Christmas cookies, though…😉 😀

I’m eating Christmas cookies. Mama is eating vegetable soup and drinking water. I’m making cocoa to stay warm.

Strawberry Parfait Breakfast Smoothie.

I’m trying to see what my stomach can tolerate before my surgery by buying the juices and smoothies I plan to have beforehand. This one’s pretty good. Think I’ll add it to the list of “likes.”

Sounds good Lily,I love fruit, yogurt, banana smoothies…when the weather gets hot here I even just freeze them
to keep cool.Must cook some rice for sushi and fried rice as it will be hot today.Glad you’re thinking ahead well for after your op’ X .

Having wine 🍷 while I sit curmudgeonly inside. It’s 12F or -11C outside just a light dusting of snow but mainly ice.

  1. F ,cold drinks and Panettone, hard to imagine the cold,my brain hurts trying 🙃 The heat isn’t good for thinking, might blow a fuse or crack a gasket or something…

Turkey-rice soup, brisket and mashed potatoes with plenty of gravy, homemade wheat rolls, a good German lager, and a few Christmas cookies.

The last thing I ate, was off-brand cereal, with vanilla almond milk. The last thing I drank, is the same thing I am drinking right now, coffee.

A large bowl of vegetable soup with some crackers.
In a little while I’ll have a Mexican Wedding Cookie and some tea.

There will most likely be a limit placed on what I can lift after the surgery. So I’m trying to plan ahead and get things like cases of bottled water and the approved juices and protein beverages and anything heavy before I have my surgery.

I found a Bolthouse Farms high protein beverage that I had for breakfast. It’s called “Chocolate Protein Plus.” 30g protein and 21 vitamins and minerals. Not sure he’ll approve it. But he said I could eat ice cream. So I don’t see why I can’t have this. I also had a mocha cappuccino. It was delish!

Hit the Mexican restaurant again…
Chips and salsa/pico de gallo, grilled chicken burritos with Chipotle sauce, and a nice salad, washed down with a tall Dos Equis Ambar draft.
The chipotle sauce is unique to this restaurant…very tasty…quite hot…worth the drive…
