For dinner tonight I made a ham, mushroom, and Au Gratin potato casserole.

We had some olive oil coleslaw with it, and some Dutch apple pie with whipped topping for dessert. 🙂

Pizza, Pepsi and Propel water.

Tamales, pasteles and Mexican Eggnog later. (Would post the name in Spanish but not sure it’d be allowed.)

Chicken and dumplings, a fresh wheat roll, and a good IPA…fresh nut roll for dessert.

Lily: Leftover tamales, enchiladas, frijoles charros, arroz, sopapillas, Pepsi, Propel agua

Mama: hamburguesa, agua

Beef brisket, mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy, sauteed green beans and mushrooms, and a good IPA…nut roll for dessert.

We did most of our Christmas shopping at Lidl. We went there about 5 times and every time we told them that we were set for Christmas! Our car knows its way there by heart. We’re “best friends” with many of their cashiers 😁

Cold meats, turkey, crumbed ham, chipolatas, and salad, sweet beetroot careful, etc and Brussels sprouts a d mashed potato.

Coffee with one sweetener and one spoon of sugar.

And a chocolate, no, yum two chocolates.🙂

A bagel with cream cheese and lox.

That was about 7 hours ago. I’m hungry again, but no chance of getting a break to eat for another three hours (I’m at work).

I’ve nevr been to one before, I was pleasantly surprised I must say. Had stollen from them today too, lovely.

Aldi next, be still my beating heart !

They’re supposed to be building Lidl markets on the East Coast of the U.S.

I would like to see one here in the Midwest, in Wisconsin. I would definitely go and check it out. 🙂

I like going to shop at Aldi’s, though. It’s where we do most of our shopping. They still have the best prices out of all of the supermarkets in our area.

In the UK people admire Waitrose. It’s …posh. And when you shop in Waitrose you too are posh, it’s just something that you pick up in the air as young wander the cool wide aisles glancing at things you can almost afford. Free coffee if you supply your own mug, they stopped supplying the plastic ones because the whales needed them or something. It’s all very elegant, not like real shopping it’s done at a leisurely pace, lots of smiles from other blissed out shoppers and helping hands from leather elbowed professors looking for croissant and loose tea from Earl grey. .

The check out staff are also usually higher qualified than me too, something to aspire to I think.

Also very nice grapes. Oh and they give you a free newspaper …pretty sure it’s supposed to be free 🤔

In the US the posh supermarket would be Whole Foods. It’s been nicknamed Whole Paycheck because it takes your whole paycheck to buy stuff from there. 😳

I keep getting 502 errors, it took me three tries to get this posted.

Me too, I’ve had the same errors also three times, perhaps the site is under heavy use?
