I use ready made pie crust and put some chicken and vegetables in a bechamel sauce. This is when I make it.

The one I just ate was frozen ready made called Stouffers. It’s not bad and the pie crust is deliciously flaky.

You can find them everywhere over here, GF, but some of the frozen ones aren’t too good.
Homemade is generally much better, and most of the frozen ones are just plain nasty. Marie Callender and Stouffer’s brand are the exceptions for the frozen ones.

Both my grandmothers pot pies were outstanding, and they made them in a cast iron Dutch Oven.

The wife and I ate at an Aussie themed steakhouse named “Outback”. I don’t think the food is very Australian though. The steaks were tasty though.

I like Stouffers

I make mine in a cast iron skillet but use Pillsbury ready made pie crust .

Cocktail wieners, sliced tomatoes 🍅, rice, bananas foster gelato for dessert.

Enjoying the cool breeze from an approaching thunderstorm while I eat. A nice break from a hot day.

For our dinner we had some leftover rotisserie chicken with some chicken gravy, some Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and some yellow sweet corn. I also heated up some dinner rolls to go with it.

I had some Diet 7-Up to drink, and some cold bottled water.

rice in brown sugar with those little hot-dog things

coffee and Saint Brendan’s

I like some of Stouffer’s frozen food, Milt. If I can’t have my parents’ baked macaroni and cheese, Stouffer’s is a good second choice. I don’t eat their pot pies because I don’t eat poultry or red meat. I’m not a vegetarian, I just don’t care for meat. I usually eat veggie burgers at cookouts! LOL

That sounds lovely,I hope the thunderstorms themselves were refreshing .
I’m eating more bananas as they are really nice at present.

Date night…hit the local Mexican restaurant…
Chips and salsa/pico de gallo, a quesadilla with grilled carnitas, poblanos, and mushrooms; rice, a side of grilled onions, and a tall Dos Equis Ambar.

Oatmeal, whole wheat toast, water. Will have a little orange juice later.

Stouffer’s mac n cheese isn’t the same recipe it used to be. Used to be so creamy and cheesy. Now it tastes like cardboard.

I begin my Bucket List today because Mama is terrified that I’m going to die in surgery. So I told her we’re going to have calamari for lunch. It will be fried. Not sure I could do it otherwise.

So if I don’t come back, you’ll know the calamari killed me. 😱 😬

Calamari good but not worth the $10 I paid for it. Doesn’t taste like chicken. Tastes bland and rubbery. Mama said it tasted like seafood to her.

Also had manast, 🍆 Parmesan 🥪 , pasta salad and tiramisu. Coke to drink.

Parmesan crusted baked cod, penne with zucchini in tomato sauce, green salad, 3 dark chocolate Tim Tams

Some of my wife’s leftover cereal. I shouldn’t have because it’s all sugary and I’m diabetic but there’s not much else in the house. So I’ll be drinking a ton of water for the next couple hours. 🤷‍♂️

Barb went Italian…
A nice salad with a good vinaigrette, penne pasta en casserole with a mushroom marinara and parmesan cheese, garlic bread, and a good pinot noir…gelato for dessert.

I had some cinnamon monkey bread and some cold bottled water.

For those who aren’t sure what monkey bread is, it’s a cinnamon sugar pull-apart bread. 🙂
