  1. Red 2. Water World 3. Wally’s World ( I like cartoons but this was awful.) 4. The Irish Movie about the woman who was a man or the man who was a woman? 5. Private Idaho Some others which I can not think of the names of.

  1. Plan Nine from Outer Space (by the worst director of all time)
Plan Nine is so bad that it is good. See here. Everyone should see it. You can view it online here. They even made a movie about the director and the making of that film. See here. Here’s an non-English preview of that film.

Edward D. Wood Jr.

The Plan Nine from Outer Space plot happens in the 1950’s by aliens who plant electrodes into the pituitary glands of the recent dead so as to control them like automatons. Unfortunately, the human anatomy causes them to do things that are not directly commanded by the alien’s such as seeking out and killing the living.
You just have to see this one to appreciate it.

Ed Wood was voted the worst movie director of all time by Hollywood back in the 1980’s.
Bad acting, bad sets, bad script, and cheep special effects (i.e. painted paper plates suspended from a fishing pole that hovers over a model of Hollywood).
You forgot to mention that Bela Lugosi was the star…only he died before it was hardly started. So they cut in random bits of home movies with Lugosi in them, along with shots of:eek: Ed Wood’s:eek: girl friend’s :eek:chiropracter wandering around in a long black cape…
There is one section with Bela Lugosi walking up to the door of his own house…They play it over and over and over and over…

(:pI actually own this one:o).
Also keep in mind that he worked on a limited budget and couldn’t keep re-filming a scene until the actors got it right as is the case with modern films. He had enough money to film a scene only a few times. If it didn’t come out perfect, he had to go with the best version of that scene that he had.

Also, he needed an established star to be associated with the film, otherwise it would have been an even bigger flop. That’s why he had the dead Bela Lugosi starring in the film.

Ed Wood, directed by Tim Burton is actually one of my favourite movies of all time. Martin Landau did such a sympathetic portrayal of Bela Lugosi he brings tears to your eyes sometimes. Anyways, this is about bad movies, so my pick would be anything with Tom Green in it, especially Freddie Got Fingered. When I was a teenager Tom had a cable TV show here in Ottawa, and he was a talentless hack back then. How he’s managed to eke out a career in Hollywood is a true miracle.

Two of the worst movies that I have ever seen are …
  1. *]Tiger Warsaw - For a major motion picture, they paid very little attention to the editting of the film. Microphones could be seen from the top and not just a little piece of it but a large part of it. Cameras filming the movie could be seen in mirrors. Really took away the film so much that it was hard to follow the plot.

*]Neighbors - This movie has no plot. Things (weird things) just keep happening and it doesn’t go anywhere.

This might not make me popular, but I think Rebel Without A Cause is a pretty terrible movie. Maybe I don’t understand acting, but seeing James Dean fall all over himself, emoting all over the place makes me laugh uproariously each time I see it. “You’re tearing me apart!” Take it down a notch, Jim.

Sphere is a horrible movie

Brokeback Mountain is EXTREMELY boring and the homosexual scenes made me squirm. . . People love it though.

The Black Robe and The Mission are both good Catholicesque movies. Life is Beautiful is also a very good movie but it is about the holocaust and a jewish father and son.

The English Patient
Moulon Rouge

Eddie Mac
Really? I LOVED the English Patient. Of course, that may be because Ralph Fiennes makes my teeth sweat. (Okay, granted, he didn’t look his best through most of that, but still…)

on my list:

Ace Ventura / Pet Detective (didn’t see whole thing… was “forced” to watch it because i had an emergency one time & had to stay with this family one night… and they were not as “intellectual” as I… :banghead::ouch: Not being a snot just calling it as it is…) Probably the dumbest, most disgusting movie ever made…

anyhow… another one would be

Westworld!! awful movie… no “moral” to the story whatsoever… either that or i missed it… but i doubt I missed much… violent &… un-realistic… waste o’time… The idea was intriguing but … I thought of about 20 ways they could have made it interesting… too bad they didn’t consult me before releasing it… 😃 So why did i watch it… hmm… I’d get pounced if i answered that one… so … uh… I’m taking the cowardly way out… suffice it to say (and isn’t this the excuse that always works anyhow??? Namely: “i am human”…

Just goes to prove Purgatory… i.e: God punishes us even for being human… 😃

I’m trying to think of a 3rd worthless movie… but haven’t watched any new ones… or even old ones… that are totally worthless… (in a long time).
Hmmm… Goodbad or Badbad?

Because we walked out of Waterworld, and Men In Tights, but pretty much enjoyed Ishtar and Manos: The Hands of Fate.

Sorry it took so long to reply

The Unforgiven is a western, won an Oscar for Best Picture. Staring Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman. I thought a western with Clint Eastwood would have to be worth trying but when he teams up with Hackman the violence goes off the charts. The entire story was pointless and stupid. Eastwood, a gunfighter turned farmer with 2 children under 10 hears a rumor about a reward offered for revenge on a man who maimed a prostitute. He leaves his kids to tend the farm and goes off to collect the reward which was only a rumor. I should have walked out but I kept thinking it would get better.
i know the feeling…

thanks… Did the farmer have a wife to care for the children? IF not, that’s an outrage… child neglect…

what was the rumor? that the prostitute was maimed?

what are those last 3 about?

for that matter i still don’t know what Waterworld was about… really…

The Mission… i heard that was antiCatholic…

you must be a guy?? 😃

Hmm… there are so many candidates for the Worst Movie Every Made. Here are my nominees (all of which I have had the misfortune to see):

Ishtar
The Dirty Dozen
Howard the Duck
The Postman (starring Kevin Costner–this makes Waterworld look like a masterpiece)
Casino Royale (starring Woody Allen)
Barbarella
The Marine (the one starring John Cena the wrestler)
Nice Dreams (Cheech and Chong’s third movie)
The Three Amigos
The Conqueror (starring John Wayne as Ghengis Khan)

My Pick: Howard the Duck
guess i’ve led a blessed life… never seen any of them… but read a review on the last one… I heard Three Amigos was good Why do you say it isn’t?
don’t suppose you’d want to give a short review of these?? or some of them… the worst of them ? :o

Do not go see the new Disney flick “G-Force”. Even if your children BEG you to take them.

You will lose IQ points by the dozen.

Not even the cool 3-D effects (and they are pretty cool) can save this turkey…er, RODENT, of a movie.

(of course, if you are dragged to this film against your will…do what I did: plug your iPod in your ears and close your eyes behind the 3D glasses, and no one will know you are taking a power nap!)
why is it bad for children?
