Naming a guardian angel

Has anyone out there given a name to their guardian angel? Is this “kosher?”

Recently, there was the same thread on naming Guardian Angel. Some have names for their Guardian Angel, others advised not to name them.

I guess naming your Guardian Angel and trying to get your Guardian Angel to tell you their name are two different things. I don’t think the Church sees anything wrong with giving your Angel a name.

I gave mine the name Ahi, it’s just an Old Testament Hebrew name that I liked when I was reading through one of the genealogies.

The most appropriate thing is just to address him as My Angel. We have no way of knowing their names, and since they are neither our child nor our pet, I don’t think we have the right to name them ourselves - God knows their names, and we will find out in due time.

I think the name “Guardian Angel” is the most beautiful name for the angels.
