Is it a good community ?

Does the local church support?
What about Knights Of Columbus Support ?

My daughter went to a high school run by the Nashville Dominicans. Every year they had a trip to Nashville for the girls to visit the motherhouse and see the city. It was a wonderful trip, and several girls ended up joining the order.

From our experience, I would say that these nuns are THE BEST!! In their beautiful white habits, they truly looked like brides of Christ, and they obviously loved Him and very much loved the girls in school as well.

Had my daughter expressed an interest in exploring a vocation with them, I would have jumped for joy. I say, you can’t go wrong checking it out.

Woot! I love the Nashville Dominicans!! There’s a youth group event in my diocese that features religious communities from across the country and last month the guest speakers/ “religious spotlight” were the Sisters of St. Cecilia. I had the privilege of praying part of the afternoon Divine Office with them and it was a truly memorable experience. These sisters are so joyful and full of life! They have so much love for the Church and their teaching apostolate. Dominicans rock. Especially these ones.

I love them. 👍

…but I live in Ohio and I have absolutely no clue about the answers to any of your questions except for the first one (sorry about that).

one of the best

yes, very safe.

yes, they do.

i don’t know. i am sure there isn’t a knight that would turn down a sister asking for help with anything.

And they are working on getting a Missa Cantata started in the OP Rite (Very similar to the EF Form, but exclusive to the Dominicans). From all Reports they are an Excellent Thriving Orthodox House:thumbsup:

This is a wonderful order, and the campus is both beautiful and safe. I am the Grand Knight of a Knights of Columbus council in TN, and we are encouraged to support a novice up to $500, a program in which we and several councils participate. So, to answer your question about Knights of Columbus support, we do support the Dominican sisters! 👍

I was taught by the Nashville Dominicans in grade school, at Overbrook and high school, St. Cecilia Academy. My children attended St. Henry School here in Nashville which is staffed by the Dominicans and now my grand-daughter is here at school. BTW I have worked at St. Henry for the past 5 years and god-willing for many more. I LOVE the Nashville Dominicans. They are faithful, joyful, wonderful women.:):)🙂

Also the motherhouse campus is large and beautiful. They have been on the same property since 1860. They recently built a large addition to the motherhouse and repaired and re-modeled the original. They needed the extra room because they have so many new members.
