I came into a debate on promoting celibacy for homosexuals and a lot of mainstream “Non-Catholic Christians” seem to condemned the idea of celibacy for the sake of the kingdom.
Here is the site of the argument: I am the only in the Army uniform.

Emmanuel, I think I get what you are saying, but you are wrong. There is only ONE True God and that is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
I said:
Wrong? Why do you say Judeo-Christian? You claimed this country is founded on Christianity and that God is explicitly a Christian monopoly?
The Jews who do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah. They DO believe in One God. Mind you, Christianity itself have its origins from a Jewish Rabi name Jesus.
I never denied that the United States of America isn’t a country of Christian principles. You might want to look back at wat I wrote, Sheila… See More
I said, “This country was founded on Christian principles.”
You need to read what I wrote because I think you misinterpret my own writings.
Basically what I am saying. Christians do not have a monopoly on God. The Jews believe in God.

I thought that you were saying that all the god’s in the world were the one same god.
The Bible also tells us to preach the Gospel which also includes telling people the truth about sin and a life without God and what will happen if they die without Jesus as their Saviour.
I said:
Telling a person they are going to hell will not solve anything. As far as I am concern, the person would just leave and a Christian will lose a potential convert. So any gain a Christian wants in that person won’t be represented in a good way…
I can hope God who reads the heart of men will grant them forgiveness of their sins, provided that they repent prior to any death. I know my Church (Catholic Church) at least have not made a list of people who disagree (who died of natural death, etc) with her are currently residing in hell. Only God knows the faith of the souls of the faithful departed.

“Telling a person they are going to hell will not solve anything.”
I understand what you are saying Emmanuel, but we aren’t here to solve anything, we are here to tell and preach the truth of a life separated from Christ.

As far as I know. Only religions with the belief of supreme God are correct in that belief. That there is but One God. We hold the hope for their conversions to the Christain faith. We do so with respect but attacking them will not bare fruit. Tell me how did St. Paul manage to convert Athenians who are largely Gentile (Pagan believers) … See … See MoreMorein the Book of Acts Chapter 17:22. He didn’t tell them, if you do not believe in Jesus Christ, you will go to hell. Rather, he used their belief in an “unnamed god” and claimed that “unnamed god” is Jesus Christ, the risen one.
You won’t gain converts if you tell them. “Accept Jesus Christ now, or I’ll pull this triger on your head.” Many Non-Christians will view, “If you don’t accept Jesus Christ, you go to hell.” as liken to a hypocrite Christian who puts a weapon on his head."
Dixon wrote,
Emmanuel, that was Paul’s way of handing those pagan believers at that time. How many times did he apply this same method when preaching to non-Christians? All of us have our method of delivery - that’s a given and our words have to be seasoned as well. This is common sense!
No one in this thread is saying we do it as if we’re holding a gun to their heads. Please, come on now. That’s not evangelistically proper and you know this, but we do not sugarcoat a life without Christ either.
We should non-Christians our Christian virtues by living out the principles Jesus taught us followers. You will earn more.

You claimed that we aren’t here to solve everything. Really? Isn’t our purpose is to convince homosexual marriage is wrong? Apparently, that issue has not been resolved. Why then do you preach? Preaching the Gospel Message is to resolve the sin of mankind. We are here to solve everything.
Dixon wrote:
Minister Dixon Before you go to bed let me say I respectfully disagree. We are here to preach the Word of God and not solve anything from a biblical sense. If they are converted through our preaching we have won them. But solve? I disagree!
Emmanuel we disagree on this and I will leave it as such!
I replied:
Most people who are not Christians and are told they are going to hell do find it offensive. I have my own encounters with some Evangelical Christians who believe “Catholics” are not Christians and are not going to heaven but to hell. As a Catholic, I find that offensive as much as someone claiming the Church which I belong to as the “Whore of … See MoreBabylon.”
I know the most Non-Catholic Christians do not hold the belief which I posted above but their are people who claim to Christians who do believe it.
