Are they morally ok to take?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. šŸ™‚

P.S. – And I am not talking about steriods, BTW.

Oh, we know what you’re talking about šŸ˜‰ No opinion on sin… if you’re under 30 though, it might be a bad idea to take them. If there’s a problem, it’s likely something else. Could cause heart problems and so forth – really, talk seriously with a doctor.

Also, how natural are you talking about? Ginseng or viagra? Might be just your confidence needs a boost; but if it’s ginseng and so forth, hey, go crazy, and you can probably find THAT a lot cheaper at your local Asian grocery.

i’m actualling talking more of a more permanent solution. I’ve heard they don’t even work, but I’ve just been curious to know if the Church has any stance on them. I guess the same goes for all forms of cosmetic surgery.

Thanks for the reply!

My take on this would be that if they were for treatment of an objective problem then they would be OK, but if they’re taken in an attempt to have ā€œmore and betterā€ then it could become a form of gluttony.

There’s always jelqing… it’s supposed to help, but I wouldn’t know. Information’s all over the net though. (warning: probably not mindsafe for the more scrupulous here)

As for surgery, it’s risky at best. Again, I have no idea as to any moral objections, but I wouldn’t recommend it. If you could be a little more explicit as to the actual nature of the problem (impotence, or just small size) it’d probably help people come up with answers.

size is definetely the issue, and I guess I’ve always worried about not be able to have children because it. I know I should really address my concerns to a doctor, but I wanted some religous advice before I took it any further, ya know what I’m saying?

I know it’s a touchy subject, but you have no idea how much I appreciate the advice and help.

Um, size doesn’t matter for the having kids part, or all that much for the rest of it either. šŸ˜› Just thought I’d pass that on. And as to possible impotence, see your doctor, don’t ask around on the internet.

trust me its not impotence šŸ™‚

I did a search on the Jelqing and it brought up something about a condition that I could possibly have. Now at least I can go to the doctor with some sort of reason or possibility.

about ginseng, it is a stimulant.
consult your physian as ginseng can affect your cardio vascular system, blood pressure.
–ginseng is the main ingredient for many ā€œenergy drinksā€

I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that you are not married, because I kind of doubt a married man is preoccupied with this kind of a worry. Wives don’t objectify their husbands in this regard.

I’m sure that this situation is similar to what Abraham Lincoln said about a man needing to be tall enough that his feet reached the ground.

I wouldn’t do anything risky, especially without (name removed by moderator)ut from your wife. If you haven’t met her yet, then I think you are jumping the gun a bit worrying about this.

If one thinks he must take them, I think he should do a good examination of conscience to figure out why it is necessary. Because the commercials say so? Pride getting in the way? Feeling inadequate?

The ā€˜supplement’ will do nothing to gain Heavenly rewards, and why do anything that does not lead into the right direction? My suggestion is to work on the soul and that is what will impress your wife present or future.šŸ˜‰

Is jelqing moral?

Bottom line - if you have a problem performance-wise (as in you can’t *actually *do the deed) there are legitimate and well-tested medical treatments that should be used ONLY on medical advice and in preference to whatever you buy from a TV ad or off the internet or what have you.

Surgery is rarely a necessary option and size certainly does NOT make a difference to your fertility.

If it’s just to look bigger, last longer (as if that really matters in the grand scheme of things!) or the like, then you need a slap upside the head and to put that money and energy towards helping people who have REAL problems.

pull no punches but do all things in love.

It seems to me that it would be the sin of vanity to take these natural ā€œenhancementā€ pills.

Our society has placed importance in this matter (size). It’s everywhere, television, everyday conversation, in underlying comments, indirect putdowns, joke etc. The greatest insult directed towards a man nowadays is to mock him in this regard.

Older wiser married men who are no longer preoccupied with the hopes of finding a woman to marry someday probably give this little or no thought any longer. But it is a real psychological issue many of the male population.

My view is that it is a shame indeed that the world we live in these days measures a man with a ruler and not by the size of his heart. Once that is fixed, the other problem will disappear into the darkness where it belongs.
