I’m considering a major expenditure to purchase one of these sets and would like some feedback from folks who have experience with either. Pros and cons of each set are welcome. Thank you.
I second that!!Both the Ignatius and the Navarre bible use the Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE) translation.
Both the Ignatius and Navarre comments are Faithful to the mind of the Church. The Navarre comments use the Church Fathers and St Josemaria Escriva a lot and Ignatius uses more biblical scholars e.g. Scott Hahn . I use both when I study the bible because I find that the two different emphases compliment one another.
Yea, when you ask for us to decide on two great pieces of work it is not easy. So either way you win and if you can get both someday you get the grand prize! God Bless…teachccdThanks for the advice everyone. Y’all sure aren’t making this easy…LOL. Currently, I’m leaning towards the Navarre Bible, since it’s available in a complete set immediately.
This is exactly what I’m doing. I love them both. Both the Ignatius and the Navarre bible use the Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE) translation.
