It’s funny that people in the U.S. media are continuing to blacklist the Dixie Chicks for expressing an (admittedly ill-advised) opinion about President Bush and yet there is little hue and cry about the movie that has been made in the form of a documentary about his assassination! The last thing that I knew, it was all right to have an opinion, but advocating assassination was a no-no. Even if you say that the move did not advocate his assassination, it might have the unintended side effect of inciting someone to attempt an assassination. Is it that the film was made in Canada, by Canadians, that is giving it the pass? If the Dixie Chicks are so bad, what makes this movie any better?

I don’t agree with the Dixie Chicks coming out and expressing their opinions of President Bush so publicly. It just seems to me that they are entitled to hold those opinions if they choose and should not be blacklisted for it. I thought that Senator McCarthy was long since dead and buried.

Such doublespeak! They hate Bush and they won’t help the Dixie Chicks.:tsktsk:
