Perhaps he did go through such an experience, but I personally have some difficulty trusting his testimony - an evangelist preacher would have a personal agenda in telling such a story.

An ordinary layman usually will not have any reason to make things up…
If you are looking for an experience of the afterlife from a trustworthy “ordinary layman” TRY THIS.

I do know of someone who died in a car accident. She describes how the traffic jam that was created produced much frustration amongst the drivers in the jam. She then describes how she heard someone was praying for her in one of the cars there. She noticed the registration plate of the car and after being revived a little later, sourced the address of the registration plate and personally went to thank the person that prayed for her.

That’s not brain activity or dumping etc.

The work of Sam Parnia at the New York State Hospital in the field of resuscitation medicine may be of some interest.

This may also be of some use for people who wish to explore some of the medics at the forefront of research in NDEs:

It will not be long now for conclusive evidence to be tabled for the reality that human consciousness comes from “outside” the physical frame of the human body.

The human mind even, is now thought to exist outside the human body AND within it, constituting the “link” as it were between consciousness and the physical body.

Fascinating stuff!

🙂

Actually, distressing / hellish NDEs are not unusual at all.
Actually the guy I know that had the NDE that was atheist also went to hell in his experience…however he did not see fire in fact according to him nothing could be seen it was cpletely dark and he could not see absolutely anything. He said he heard screams but then he felt huge claws clawing into his shoulder when he turned around he saw two huge creepy red eyes and he heard a creepy voice saying you are coming with me. If you keep in mind that this person was a full atheist there is no way his brain could have caused that as he did not believe in the existanve of hell. However according to him he ran away from hell and found the light who told him he was Jesus. Dont ask me how nut that giy ce back reciting the enyire catholic creed. Today that guy, who was not born into the catholic religion and who was a fierce atheist is a catholic priest. I still have difficulty believing he he is a priest :bigyikes:

There are examples of blind people being able to observe what is going on in the operating room during an NDE.

Is the human brain so amazing that it can see without eyes? If so, why only during such an experience?

That is a very good point - I am Open Minded re this subject - I would say it is quite possible they have experienced a snippet of what is to come.

I am quite surprised re the negative answers received to this post so far 🤷 😉

Yes that is interesting. As modern medicine gets better and better of keeping people alive, these seem to be happening omore and more.

After all the next world is only a heart beat away, but now Hours after the last heart beat some are being brought back.

Truly thought provoking 😉
