He is really trying to make it harder for minors to say that they drunk alcohol at home or or as a religious ritual to get out of legal trouble. On the other hand, what actually happens is a whole different thing. I am sure that law enforcement and DAs aren’t really interested in prosecuting the law…for now. Who knows what it could mean down the road.
considering that Catholics believe the wine is Jesus’ blood and there is very little alcohol content in it…this bill is crazy.
Parente need to be responsible and not let their 12 (or whatever age under 21) year olds drink alcohol regardless of “supervison at home”. And I mean beer alcohol, not Eucharistic Wine.
As a Nebraskan…this is a prime example of our idiot legislature at “work”. I don’t think it stands a chance of passing into law. They like to try to pass stupid laws like this to keep from addressing anything that is of real importance. take it from me, I know.
Not a chance of passing. The Jewish lawyers wouldn’t let that one pass. If you’ve ever been to a Passover ceremony, which I’ve attended several times at the home of a dear friend, the children drink the wine quite freely. Not to worry…
