Need a bible

I’m looking for a new bible. I am specifically looking for an inexpensive paperback for no more than $10, but with readable font (preferably around 9 point), and with thick enough paper to highlight. My intended use is to read extensively, write notes, and highlight. I may also buy a bunch for guys in my bible study. The preferred version is the nabre or rsvce.

I know this is a lot to ask for a $10 bible. Have any of you found anything like this? I’ve searched much, but what I’ve found has had either too thin of paper, has been too expensive, too small of font, or has been altogether too large to carry around.

Go to a site like Barnes and Noble and check out the various versions, then get a copy used. Remember to consider the shipping when looking at the price. B&N has several used copies for $2, so you should be able to find something suitable, esp since we don’t know what you consider “altogether too large” 🙂

Did a bit of looking around for you. Ignatius had a promotion during the year of Faith for a reduced price edition of this Bible. Maybe if you contact them you might be able to get he same 12 dollar price:

Thank you for that! I searched it on google, and came up with this:

It is actually a less expensive paperback version that must be ordered in bulk by a church or school. I think I’ll email them and see if I can simply get one of the 10 packs. This is great! I hope they decide to sell these individually someday. 12.95 new is a much better price than 21.95 for their standard paperback.
