As I recall we were taught that Heaven is the Beatific Vision; seeing God. Thus I would conclude that the saved will see Him but not the damned. I suspect that the sight of Him would be unbearable to the damned.

When each of us dies, our souls are immediately judged by God. This is called the Particular Judgment. At this point we begin our eternal destiny. If we are going to hell, our souls go directly there. If we are deemed worthy of heaven, our souls will go directly to heaven, or if we are going to heaven but are in need of purification, we may go to Purgatory first for a while (everyone in Purgatory will eventually go to heaven). Whatever our fate, our souls will stay there (heaven or hell) until the end of time, at which time the Second Coming will occur.
At the Second Coming at the end of time, those Christians still alive and who are in a state of sanctifying grace will be taken to heaven (what some Protestants think of as of the rapture). Then will occur the General Judgment. At that time the souls of the living and the dead will be reunited with their bodies and brought together and judged before all. Those who have already been judged in the Particular Judgment will be brought from wherever their souls were -heaven, hell or Purgatory-- and have their judgment confirmed before all, so that both the justice and mercy of God will be manifest to all.
After this, time and Purgatory will be no more and all will enter with their souls and bodies into their eternal destiny, either hell or heaven.
It is widely accepted that, since it is impossible for those who are confirmed sinners and thus doomed to perdition to be in the direct Divine Presence, their judgements will occur without them ever seeing God. For the blessed, on the other hand, there is no reason why they should not, and every reason to believe they will since they will be spending eternity in God’s Presence.

While none of us know for sure, some scholars realize that if all were to see God and then those judged to hell were to be removed from Him; that in and of itself is hell. Longing for the one infinite Love that you’ve experienced and for all eternity will be deprived of is infinitely worse than anything imaginable. Fire would be a welcomed relief…teachccd

No, (not that I’m aware of) There are these public restrooms I frequently use and written on the doors are all sorts of messages such as IAre you planning to check out soon?? Just curious about the urgency
so and so, @#$#%, uncharitable words etc. So I thought I’d add my own little message on a post-it note saying " I The Uncreated Beauty Who You Will Face on Judgement Day." but I wasn’t sure if that last part was accurate.

Jesus is God. We will see Jesus on Judgement day. But, I don’t think we will see God the Father until the goats have departed.
