Novena to Saint Joseph (Day 9)

Saint Joseph, I, your unworthy child, greet you. You are the faithful protector and intercessor of all who love and venerate you. You know that I have special confidence in you and that, after Jesus and Mary, I place all my hope of salvation in you, for you are especially powerful with God and will never abandon your faithful servants. Therefore, I humbly invoke you and commend myself, with all who are dear to me and all that belong to me, to your intercession. I beg of you, by your love for Jesus and Mary, not to abandon me during life and to assist me at the hour of my death.

Glorious Saint Joseph, spouse of the Immaculate Virgin, obtain for me a pure, humble, charitable mind, and perfect resignation to the divine Will. Be my guide, my father, and my model through life that I may merit to die as you did in the arms of Jesus and Mary.

Loving Saint Joseph, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, I raise my heart to you to implore your powerful intercession in obtaining from the Divine Heart of Jesus all the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special grace I now implore:

Virtuous Catholic spouses for all those here at CAF seeking them

Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I feel confident that your prayers in my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God. Amen.

Memorare

Remember, most pure spouse of Mary, ever Virgin, my loving protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection or asked for your aid without obtaining relief. Confident, therefore, in your goodness, I come before you and humbly implore you. Despise not my petitions, foster-father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them.

Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee
blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God pray for us
sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end Amen

Thank you again for all those that have prayed for my daughter and me. I am working hard and I am trying to get myself involved into things so that I am able to meet someone. I just don’t know how someone could except us because I have nothing to offer except my heart. I hope that God will hear your prayers and will help me through this issue of loneliness. It just seems impossible at times for someone to come into my life. Thanks again and God Bless to each and everyone of you!

I am completely done! I give up…prayer doesn’t work for me because it always goes unanswered. ALWAYS…especially this prayer

Hi JoJo. Lately I have been feeling the same way about not having a husband and not even close to finding one. I’m 30 years old with no kids. I spent 4 years in a relationship only to have to end it and another 2 years in another relationship that I also had to end. So I am very frustrated. I’ve been praying novena after novena for 10 months now and I haven’t found not one person I could even call a friend! But what I do take from all of the praying is the close relationship I have developed with God. I’m on a new novena a few times a month and even when I feel to tired or have doubt that this novena will not bring me any closer to finding a husband, I get the willpower to pray it and believe every word I’m saying. I joke with myself that the Lord must shake his head at me for still praying for a husband after 10 months. I would praying novena after novena if it will lead me to the right man, instead of marrying the wrong one. I say this because if I had married either one of my ex’s, I would have a hard life right now.

No matter how worried or sad you feel, you must know that God is listening and we are on his timeline. I’ll keep you in my prayers and please do the same for me 🙂

This is a site I prayer novenas from. It’s a great site that send you email reminders. praymorenovenas.com. No matter what happens keep praying.

I second this. Angels and Saints, especially Our Lady, please join us in praying for Jojo and her daughter.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Sometimes it may feel as if God isn’t listening because what we want is just not happening. . .but, God is always listening. God has a plan for you and your daughter, just remember that. You are not alone. He is with you always.

I pray that you and your daughter find comfort in God’s grace and that God’s will be done.

Amen.

I completely understand. I raised twins by myself and never did meet a man who was up to the task. I just finished spending two years with a man who is not able to commit. Lack of commitment was the source of our conflicts and those conflicts now have brought us to the end of our relationship. It may be for the best that we have parted but I feel as if I cannot endure another heartbreak. I have put it in God’s hands and pray that my partner and I will find each other soon. My twins are almost grown but I still long to share my life with someone, fold socks, put up a christmas tree, bag leaves, share secrets, be accepted, be loved…I opened the bible to Corinthians and realized that all of what love ought be is not present with my boyfriend. I want patient and kind; I want a love that forgives-- a love that does not hold hostages. Please pray for me.

This is exactly where I was a couple of years ago. I had been told to pray for my future spouse, not simply for myself to get married. So I had been doing this for about 9-10 months and was just tired of it. But in various ways, God let me know that the prayers were working. I won’t get in to exactly how God informed me of this. Let me just say that it has been convincing. It has been 3 years now that I have been praying for my future spouse. I have also attended Mass during the week when I could, had Masses said for myself ( and then told God that my intention was for my future husband), fasted occasionally for my future husband, requested prayers on this topic on various Catholic websites, and offered up every sacrifice I could big or small. No I still haven’t met Mr. Right, but I’m still praying. And the prayers are working. At times I’ve been very discouraged, but the message from God has been the same each time- Keep going, don’t give up.

There have been times I had to take a break from so much praying. That’s Ok too. I’ve also at times asked others to pray for me because I felt the way you do now. That’s also a good thing- we’re a community of faith and we should support each other.

I’ve thought to myself that I’m very blessed to have been given feedback from God in response to these prayers. I know that other singles often don’t “hear back” from God, but then God speaks to all of us in different ways. The more I’ve prayed, the easier it has been to hear God in my life.

I hope this can give you some kind of encouragement. I feel that if God is applying my prayers and sacrifices to my future spouse, he must be doing the same for other singles. So just because you haven’t received a tangible result yet (i.e. the man you’re meant to be with), that doesn’t mean the prayers aren’t working. It’s just taking longer than you, and a lot of us who are single, thought it would. However, when this man finally comes into your life, I truly believe that he will be worth the wait and everything will become clear.

God’s blessings to you my dear, and to your future husband, now and always. Amen.

Please pray for my daughter and me…I have been single for almost 7 years and I am starting to think God is not listening to my prayers. I want to have a family. My daughter and I have been alone for so many years and want to be a part of a family. Things have been really, really difficult physically and mentally. We are alone and don’t have any help. We want someone to come into our lives. Please pray that God blesses me with a husband and great father for my daughter. Thank you so much.
Pray that God’s will be done. What God wants and what you want may be two different things. I will pray for you.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

I am sorry…prayer does not work!! I have tried EVERYTHING, nothing has changed! I even put prayer requests at catholic churches around the world…yes I went above and beyond and wrote each letter and submitted them to the churches. Prayer just does not work…

I can empathize with you about feeling like prayer doesn’t work. I used to feel the same way, but it does work. I was born with Sticklers Syndrome, I’ve had 15 eye operations. I pray all the time since I was young enough to understand and before that Mom prayed for me to have my eyes healed. Nothing. Honestly they got worse. Its so bad now I have many blind spots, no side vision and run into my kids cause I can’t see them. The pain I feel when my child gets a toe stepped on cause mommy couldn’t see. But I still believe that maybe someday God will heal me. Why keep praying then? Because He ALWAYS answers but maybe in a different way. I have a strong faith, and a great family. I prayed 10 years for a good husband and finally found him. God answered my unspoken prayers too, one for a father that wouldn’t hurt me. I know He is my Father. That God is a loving caring Father who wants the best for you. He is there for you and even now in your pain He is making a way for you. Please don’t gibe up on prayer, don’t give up on God… He won’t give up on you…
Dear Father I pray for Jojo, that she may understand Your ways, that she will feel Your love and look for the little miracles every day in her life. That sunrise You painted just for her, that cool breeze that touches her face. A smile from a stranger. A helping hand that wasn’t expected. Let her feel Your peace God. I am confident You have it all planned out and are even now answering her prayer. Please let her see and know and feel that answer withouout a doubt that it was You that it came from. I love You God, love always, me.

Peave in Christ Jojo,
Kattrina

I’m sorry to hear that your prayers have not been answered but you really should stop saying that praying doesn’t work. Just ask yourself if you believe that praying to God do not work, then why would He answer them. Maybe you said it out of frustration and you really do not feel this way. You should think about the things God did bless you with. And maybe going to confession will help. Maybe things will turn around for you. It will give you a clear head and get your mind focused on God instead of what he hasn’t done for you yet.

As for myself, I am still single and praying for God to bless me with the husband who is right for me.

This is the very hardest part–waiting for an answer, a sign–*something–*from shows us that God has heard our fervent prayers. The wait seems endless, anger and discouragement well up, and hopelessness sets in. When this happens, it often helps to try something different.
Sit quietly and think about how sweet it is (as St. Therese said) to call God our Father, Who loves us more than we can even imagine. Thank Him for the blessings you have (your daughter, all who are praying for you) and send Him as many loving thoughts as you can.

I hope this helps–I’m praying for you…

O Most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God, still remaining a Virgin,
assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us
that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, I humbly ask you from the depths of my heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you.

Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands. Amen
