My update…I read my first post and see that I have posted this thread almost a year ago. AND nothing has happened or changed for the better!! I do not mean to be cynical; however, I am at a turning point that I believe I will be single forever 
I have done everything I can and still struggle with school, my career choice, and raising my daughter completely alone (no family is around us). My chances of going to graduate school is grim and I don’t have social work experience that graduate schools are looking for and getting a job in psychology, which my undergraduate major is right now, will only land me a receptionist position.
This God that everyone seems to worship and pray to has abandoned us. My daughter and I are good people and help and respect people everywhere we go, but we are constantly brushed aside or not included in things mainly in my opinion because I am a single mother in an undergraduate program.
I don’t have a heart to pray or go to church anymore because nothing has changed for us in the last 7 1/2 years accept our age. And please know that I don’t just sit around waiting for things to change. I try my hardest to set up playdates for my daughter; I try to engage in conversions with other parents; I try to talk to men at school an order to start a friendship that might grow into a relationship; I look for volunteer positions that will help with social work experience for graduate school; and I work part-time so that I have some sort of employment on my resume.
So please if someone might point out that I am doing something wrong, please let me know because I don’t know what to do…Figuratively speaking every time I try to help my situation a door slams in my face… with playdates and volunteer positions for experience in social work and also meeting men for a possible relationship, which like I have written, has been happening for the last 7 1/2 years.
Where is God in all of this? Where is God when we suffer alone? Am I that horrible of a person to not deserve something in our life? I can’t take it anymore; I am sorry. Could this be a generational curse that I am dealing with? If so, what can I do? If someone is kind enough to answer this, I would greatly appreciate it!!

nothing has changed…NOTHING!! I give up on God. I have had people pray and the priest had blessed me with the oil of tongues. This praying does not work. AND this is just plan torture. How can a loving God put me through this anguish. How long am I going to do all this alone? When is my life going to change in a positive direction? I can’t stand this anymore. God has abandoned me…

Remember that prayer isn’t mechanical, we can’t treat God like He is a process of cause and effect, He is a personal being and knows better than we do. He hasn’t abandoned you.
We all have our struggles and you certainly seem like you are having a hard time. Prayer is a necessity, but lets not forget the story about the man caught in a flood. If we have problems in our current state or in our minds that are becoming too great a burden, they need to be sorted. God puts people in places to help others, and we need to take Him up on these offers if they come to us, or even be open enough to find them.
But I see you have mentioned being blessed with “the oil of tongues”. This has gotten me worried, as I’m fairly sure no such oil exists, was this by chance at a community that mimic the pentecostals? If so, we have to be careful about things like this. Some things really can be spiritually dangerous.
Tonight’s Rosary will be offered for you. Not necessarily for your intention, but for God’s intention for you. God is the Uncaused Cause, the Maximally Great Being, since He is maximally great, He is maximally good. If He weren’t, you -and everything else- would not exist.

Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your divine wisdom You judge best suited to be united with me in marriage. May his character reflect some of the traits of Your own Sacred Heart. May he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with pure and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as well as the children it may please You to entrust to our care. Bless our friendship before marriage, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely, that our future home may ever be most like Your own at Nazareth.
