Most Holy and Gracious God, great physician and healer, be with our brother Jimmy in this, his hour of need. Let him feel the comforting and healing touch of your Holy Spirit. Guide all who treat him that their skills may be used as you will for your purposes in Jimmy’s life.

In the Name of the Father, +the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Hi Jimmy,

I pray you take the right course with the doctors…can you get a second opinion…yes, they are going to catheterize and do angioplasty…you need several procedures to restore you. My former pastor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was among the percentage who survived.

I did hospice for a doctor who had headed intensive care for many years…he had pancreatic cancer, was surviving it, did get an inflammation, but lost faith…he had one spot on his lungs…but he decided publicly not to eat.

So I pray the Lord give you the wisdom and patience and strength of will in these forthcoming days and know that God’s will and your will in these times are usually the same…so seek the will that is in your heart, hold on to it, and not give up! I will keep you in prayer.

Kathleen

I posted this here because this is where I normally post and over the years I’ve got to know a lot good people here, Catholic and non-Catholic.

I hope this post doesn’t get bounced out to the Prayer Request Section here at CAF.
I’ve already put something there anyways.

Well… I’ve have to go in for an angiogram and then see what happens from there. I also have a problem with my pancreas and need a CA199 test, to test for pancreatic cancer.

So, if you guys could please, say a couple prayers for me, the would be great.

I’m sure everything will work out…

Thank you…God Bless
I will pray for you and I am sure others are too.

Mpjw2 let us know about you.

God Bless and I pray all goes/went well and you are strong in the Lord.

I had major cardiac surgery (6 bypasses) in 2006.
I remember how frightened I was fr weeks, just thinking about it.
Finally, as I was being driven to the hospital, I surrendered completely to God. I just handed the whole troubling thing over, humbly assenting to whatever God’s will would be in the matter.
Immediately a Peace descended on me which is truly, truly, beyond understanding. I was all calm and smiles in the hospital, joking with everyone - even the nursing staff commented on it! That special Peace has not left me to this day. Nor has my total surrender of all things, including my life, to God. I am so much happier for it.
I’ve just prayed that you will be blessed with the same experience.
God bless and keep you in His infinite care.

Jimmy B,

This always takes my mind off my troubles:

I will pray for you.
I love Ave Maria… What a beautiful video. It’s in my favorites now…thank you!

I thank all of you for your kind comments, advice and prayers. I’m sure I’ll be ok… Most of the people in my family have gone through heart issues like mine and have had stints and bypasses.

My father-in-law said he felt much better after having his stints put in and that he didn’t realize how tired he actually was, before the procedure. The pancreas thing is a little different… I see the doctor for that in about two weeks.

My angiogram is on Friday. The doctor wanted to do it, when he saw me on Monday but I told him that my wife wasn’t off work until Friday, so he had his secretary squeeze me in then…

I’ve asked for your prayers, because I believe in the power of prayer as do most of you here at CAF.

Thanks Again!

I am teaching on the biblical mysteries of the Rosary; Myself and my class will be happy to include you in our prayers, during our petitions;

Also when I see Jesus in the morning I will surely put in a healing and protection prayer for you in my visit with the Saints and Martyrs with the Church triumphant at daily Mass.

God protect you and keep you always;

Love and peace

Jimmy,

I will hold you in the Light.

Well, in a about nine hours or so, I should know if I’m having the heart bypass surgery or not…The doctor was leaning toward bypass, I hope I don’t need the bypass.

At the last minute, one of my parish priests, who I know, and who like very much, came by the house and heard my confession, granted me absolution, he anointed me, He prayed with me and over me, he comforted me, he read some Holy Scripture and brought me the Body of Christ (the Most Holy Eucharist).

I’m Glad he came. I wasn’t able to drive to St. Mary’s, and they don’t have a car at this time. My sixteen year old son picked him up and brought him to our home, 25 miles one way.

He is a very nice priest. It was a very peaceful experience and even though I was hesitant in calling him, I’m glad I did. I apologized for any inconvenience and he said, that’s what we do, that’s why I’m here. I love priest!

I thank God that I’m Catholic.

Thank you your kind comments, advice and for your prayers!

God loves you!

My father had a triple by pass when he was 57 years old. Just to let you know he just celebrated his 81st birthday this month. 😉
