Need a miracle, chronic pain, can't work

Five years I’ve been out of work due to a tragic accident with my knee. I would have been fine but operation made it worse. The last 2.5 years I have only slept through the night 5 or 10 times. I love my 12 and 16 year boys and my good wife. I want to die so badly and to live so badly. Soon we may lose our house, maybe my marriage will end. I pray and pray to no avail. I go to the priests and they seem to have little faith. I wish I could travel to Medjugorje and touch the Statue of the Risen Christ and put some of those ‘tears’ on my knee and have the pain go away. Here I read about somebody who had a handkerchief that touched the tears and it had healing effects. If anyone has anything that is genuinely associated with something of spiritual significance please loan it to me for a few weeks. I am so tired of waking up in terrible pain. I feel I would gladly die than live like this but I can’t leave my boys. They are so good and I want to be with them.

Thanks everyone. I am reading them all. Just keep praying. At least the pain goes away by evening so I get a break. I think I’ll try another Catholic church.

Hang on … 15 years ago when I became disabled I thought my world was coming to an end … fast forward and it’s still not great, but I have come to realize that I have a whole lot to live for … even with the pain. I will keep you in my prayers … God Bless

Thanks for your prayers. I have to start making money. The massive physical pain I have been through was horrible enough. Now the emotional pain of not supporting my boys is just unbearable. My wife is so angry at me. When everybody thinks you are fine to work and the pain is so bad it doubles the suffering. So much sadness. I want comfort from my wife but of course she has had enough of this. Five years! Then the regret of having the operations. On the one hand I pray that my life will end but I want to be with my family. Of course I have done everything medically I could think of. (I am trying to loosen up my vastus lateralis tendon which is severely contracted state pulls my patella into the damaged condyle, causing pain, especially at night. I acupuncture and get laser treatments from a $50,000 brand new laser. I take Effexor as well for this.)

This is so tragic for another reason. My Dad is near the end of his life and will leave me a good amount of money. If I could hang on until then we would at least not have to move.

Many people end their lives due to horrific pain. I feel undeserving of help. I feel like I can’t wake up from a nightmare.
 
I appreciate your advice. I speak to him again on Wednesday. However, I just have to keep trying to get the pain levels down. I’ll say the Rosary tonight and dedicate it to my Mom who I miss so much.

My wife just said she wants to split up. I am very sad. I loved our family so much. I love my 12 year old and 16 year old. She has suffered far too much being with me, constantly running out of money.

On the bright side all that acupuncture I did in the last few days reduced the physical pain.

Thank you all for your prayers. I have to think positively. My children aren’t suffering like they do in so many countries. I offer all my suffering for the souls in purgatory.

Think of all those who suffer in poverty, who’s children are dying and in pain.

Well, it is too early to be sure, but I found that intense acupuncture of my vastus lateralis tendon is helping. I use needles I ordered right from China, .4mm thick since the tendon is so contracted any smaller needle will bend.

So this is the second day in a row the pain has gone down. Rosary every night. This may be a little miracle, helped along by my relentless attempts to get better.

There are so many people in the world to pray for and help. So sad the number of poor people suffering in the USA will go way up with all those cuts in spending. Then the millions of poor who will suffer from global warming. And as if the destruction of Iraq wasn’t bad enough, now we worry the same thing might be repeated on Iraq. Those with power show no mercy to further their wealth. Keep praying for peace, my good friends.

Make us understand that the vocation to marriage

Enable us to see clearly that it is also a matter of finding,
