I posted in the pray part, but I think that i need some too, to have a stronger faith, and what I could do…

Copy past:

"I was raised in a non-religious family, but years ago I start to read about catholic doutrine, and wanted to become catholic (i was baptized in the methodist church). I talked with two priests, but they did not informed me what I had to do… Well, and I was too lazy and shy to find another priest to talk…Always thinking in tomorrow…

A couple months ago I started feeling low back pain, and pain in the right leg. I went to a orthopedist, and done a MRI. He said that I hadn’t hernia, asked if I had diabetes, or cases of neuropathia in the family. He said that I was ok, and if If the pain does not pass he would ask another exam.

In the meantime, I started do have fasciculations. I find a neurologista, he sees my MRI, says that it’s ok with it, and asks another exam, ENoG (i think that was the exam that the orthopedist said). I go to another neurologist, and she said that I was apparently normal, said that the fasciculation could be a grave disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease, but if I didn’t felling weakness… In the next day I started feeling weakness in my arms, legs…

After days of anxiety, I done the exam. According wth the diagnostic, I have neuropathy “without aparent muscular loss”

I am very worried now, because is one me more symptom of the Lou Gehrig’s disease… After the result, I done some bad things in anger (well, not bad things in the modern sense, in the catholic sense). I never had a strong faith, but now is weaker… I was in fcebook yesterday, and saw people talking about postgraduate education, advocacy, and feel very bad thinking that maybe I will not living to do these things… Neither have a home, woman…

Sometimes i think that if God do not exist, I am loosing my time with prays… And another times I think that if God exist,a lot of people better than me had that or some worst disease, prayed, but died… If they weren’t helped, why me?

Please pray for me, to not have this disease… And if I have, to have a stronger faith to resist…

I will go to the doctor monday

Sorry my bad engrish guys…Thanks. "

First, I would say that if the doctors did not say you have Lou Gerrigh’s disease that you should not worry about it. Worrying will not accomplish anything except to make you feel even worse.

Instead, you should pay attention to God. Pray, but not just about this. Pray for the good things in yoir life and apologize for anything you do wrong. Read about God, most easily in the Bible, and think about what you read. People suggest starting with the Gospels then going back to the Old Testament.

And persevere in getting hold of a priest!!! Most paishes have a class so people can learn more about Catholicism–it is not a commitment to become Catholic tho most who go are planning to. These usually start in September, so you may want to ask them what are some things you can do while waiting for the class to start.

O Glorious Saint Bartholomew, patron saint against nerve diseases, Jesus called you a person without guile and you saw in this word a sign that he was the Son of God and King of Israel. Obtain for Solonei the grace to be ever guileless and innocent as a dove. At the same time, help Solonei to have your gift of faith to see the Divine hand in the events of daily life. May he discern the signs of the times that lead to Jesus on earth and will eventually unite him to Our Lord and Sacior forever in heaven. Amen.

Thanks Jade Tiger

@St Francis thanks for the prayer of St. Bartholomew. I am a little hypochondria, but i really have some symthoms, but you are right, it’s not good to worry now. I will go to the doctor monday.

I will read some chapter… I read parts of epistles this week, I will read one of the gospels…

A find in my parish’s site about a group of “Catechism for Adults”. There isn’t much information, and the last message in the blog was in 2009. But I will try get more information. I am not sure, but I think that in my country is a rare thing someone convert to catholicism.

In this afternoon I start to see the goods things in my life, I don’t know, the color of the plants, the touch of the paper, my family, books that I read, books that I want to read… I thought about a girlthat I like, about how could I help people with my future profession… I thought about death too,but wasn’t so scared, i felt peace…But now I am sad again, I hope to get better.

thanks

She said that neuropathia is a common diagnostic… And that I should not worry with ALS…

I’m calmer now, but I know that is temporary:(
