oh i disagree… i guess that is the idea that i cling to. i believe that is why it is so devistating for him to see us fall away because of that unconditional love. that is why we always have the chance to correct our mistakes and repent
  • because he loves us like that.
which also relates to why we really have no right in judging others. if the perfect person judging us holds no judgement, who dares to judge others as imperfect as we are.
but these are my beliefs.
You wrote: “if the perfect person judging us holds no judgement…” Read Matthew 25:31-46. “In the last verse Jesus says: Those people will be punished forever.” I don’t dare to judge others, but I am sure Jesus will judge others. I could give many other passages from the New Testament. You wrote: “we always have the chance to correct our mistakes and repent.” Yes, we have the chance, but some people don’t take that chance, and so they are punished forever. Your disagreement is not with me. Your disagreement is with the words of Jesus in the NT. You want very badly to deny that there is judgement, and so I’ll have to terminate the correspondence.

“if the perfect person judging us holds no judgement…”
I hate to sound contradictory like that, but what i meant is that the one person that is literally judging us for every action that we make is not someone who will treat us any differently in those judgements. he will love us the same.
the part where “some don’t choose to repent” is where it is out of the lords hands. the reason this conversation was started was because i disagreed with an opinion that jesus, or god for that matter, does not love those that sin as much or equal to those that do not sin. i believe it is unconditional. there is judgement… but it shouldn’t be with us.
